Does TJ Dillashaw have Dana White privilege?

Yup, TJ is one of the poster girls for Dana White Privilege.

Jon popped twice and got an immediate titleshot both times...

At least TJ actually fought someone first. So nah, he's nowhere near as privileged as Jon Jones.

To be honest TJ would have maybe got a title shot if hé was as dominant as Jones and didn't get ko'd in his last fight before suspension.

Aljo will just beat his ass like the last chump to step up to bat. Aljo starting his legendary run.

Former champ who never got beat to lose his belt. Came back and beat top5 Sandhagen at his own game. Nuff said.

Honestly I think Dana preffered Cruz and Cody as champ but maybe if TJ turns up the douch act he can take their place?

The only Dana White privilege is the one which makes him the most money.

But facts are facts.
Facts are facts.
Ranked fighters who pop return right back to their ranking afterward. Champs who come back have almost never needed to prove themselves again.

-Sylvia was stripped, suspended 6 months, and then returned to fight for the vacant title.

-Sherk was stripped, suspended, then returned to a title fight against Penn.

-Jones was stripped and suspended for a year, then was right back into a title fight. Then he was stripped of the resulting interim belt (Cormier pulled out) and suspended for another year, then went right back into a title fight again. Then he was immediately stripped and suspended a third time, then was right back into another title fight.

-Cruz vacated when he hadn't fought for 3 years due to injury, came back to beat Mizugaki, then didn't fight again for another year before getting booked for his title fight. That's 1 win in 4 years, but he was back to challenge for the belt he never lost.

TJ relinquished the belt, served his time, then beating #2 Sandhagen is more than anyone else has ever had to do.

Returning champs go straight to the belt. Facts are facts

The UFC wants a white american champ to appeal to a large section of its fan base. They will push people like chandler and tj.

I haven’t watched TJ/Sandy since it happened, but I don’t recall thinking it was a controversial decision. I would prefer Aldo getting the TS, mainly because I’m a fan and it’s a favorable match for him, and it would be a good way to cap off his career. Also, I hate that he never got to avenge the Conor loss. I’m ok with TJ getting the shot, too, though.
