Does Mighty Mouse really think Joshua would smoke Ngannou in MMA rules with 6 months of TDD?

Not even remotely true. Francis showed his improvements in the second Stipe fight and has been training in it for a long time now.
Who could ever forget that iconic moment where Francis beat Stipe on the ground?

Oh. Wait. Yeah. He also beat Stipe standing like he'd beaten every other great striker he's fought and beaten before.

Yes, Francis worked on his wrestling and went and took Renan down, compared to the all the far greater MMA strikers he'd previously fought, because he'd been exposed by Joshua standing 7 months prior and now knew he wasn't invincible standing likely he'd always previously thought and fought like. He simply didn't want to risk that happening again in his MMA comeback, not because he's now some complete fighter who isn't going to otherwise rely on his power (like he also did there).

I can't believe this even needs to be stated.

lol you totally miss the point and post a selective video of the fight. How about posting the actual wrestling that happened in that fight? How about comparing it to the first fight where Stipe dominated him on the ground to show the improvement? I can't believe people hate Francis so much that this needs to be posted, anyone that understands fighting has seen that Francis improved his wrestling well before the Joshua result. If you don't know enough about MMA to see that, we have nothing to debate.

You really got me that that proved Francis was a complete fighter and not still a striker by pointing out that he improved his wrestling to force Stipe to strike with him so he could KO him standing.

The different with Renan by contrast is Francis ACTUALLY went into the fight specifically to grapple and stay down there if it happened because he still hadn't woken up from AJ sending him to the shadow realm 7 months prior and he utterly couldn't afford for that to happen against Renan of all people in his MMA comeback. I once again cannot believe these differences need to be articulated to "fans" of this sport who are somehow completely unaware that fighters fight like they usually do barring anomalies.

Next you'll tell me Francis, if he ever fights MMA again, is going to come into his next fight looking the wrestle there too instead of trying to take there head off standing like he has in 99% of his fights.

Jones said Francis would win and Jones > Might Mouse.

So Francis would win in an MMA fight.

I mean it's not that crazy of a take. I think the odds would be pretty even. Heavyweight is different than the other weight classes. TDD isn't hard to do with good striking if you aren't going against DC or someone of the like.

In the lighter weight classes the top boxers get crushed by the top MMA fighters in an MMA fight. At heavyweight? Give me the boxer with 6 months of TDD.
Then why did Ngannou vs renan last 10 seconds on the feet

Forget grappling...3 leg kicks and it's game over for AJ.

Boxing is way too specialized to translate in MMA.

Renan is a worse striker and athlete than Joshua. I'm also not guaranteeing a victory.

He lasted an minute and 10 seconds. Got taken down at 3:50.

That takedown also took place when Francis slipped under a loopy power punch. Joshua in theory should be able to utilize a long stiffer jab strike to help keep distance and that won't leave his upper body leaning over like Renan did.
