#notmyGOAT
I was on Sherdog the night of the fight and 2 out of 2000 thought Colby won …. Barely competitiveFake news. The majority of fans scored 3-5 overwhelmingly for Colby, with the second being about a 50/50 split between a 10-9/10-8, so you are best case looking at a draw from the cumulative scoring. You are being desperate if you are saying this was clearly for for Usman. Your opinion is not absolute.

I imagine that would also be something ppl would discuss. Is it necessary to have a win in another division? Should a MW title win affect how one views the WW GOAT? All those things would be discussed I’m surePlus GSP is a two division champ …. Not that cherry picking Bisping is that impressive….but it’s something
No, I noticed you say that everyone else has glaring issues.Honestly, no. Someone who wins in that fashion for that long undefeated, with no PED violations, just has a leg up on all of the other GOAT candidates.
If you notice, all the other guys have big, glaring issues with their GOAT candidacy. GSP has probably the least amount of blemishes compared to the rest, but even he has losses against Matt Serra and Hughes.

Don’t think Ts is talking ww goat …. He’s talking goat goat …. So mw tittle should mean somethingI imagine that would also be something ppl would discuss. Someone who wins in what fashion for how long has a leg up on other GOAT candidates? Fedor didn’t have a legit loss for 10 years. Usman was choked out in his 2nd pro fight. Usman just made the P4P #1 recently, which is awesome. Fedor was basically #1 P4P—as a heavyweight, no less—for 7 years. And he sure as hell did not have a weak schedule. Dude fought an absolute ton of fights, and fought good/ranked comp as often as any other GOAT candidate.
So like I said, a handful of title defenses more and we can talk.
There is no set criteria for ‘GOAT’ status, so it can and will always be disputed. Most GOAT candidates have problems with their case:
- Losses
- Steroid violations (Jones)
- Weak strength of schedule / fighting cans (Fedor, Jones)
- Not enough title defenses (DC. Khabib)
- Point fighting (GSP)
- Squeaking by with wins / close victories (GSP)
- Rapid decline in career in older age (Silva, Fedor)
- Retired too early (Khabib)
Kamarudeen so far has none of these issues.
If he gets past Khamzat, the division is pretty clear. He could easily string together 4 more defenses.
At that point he's the GOAT, undisputed.
Israel Adesanya was shaping up to be a GOAT, but then he kinda got son'd by a subpar LHW champ, which kind of sullies his case.
Kinda nuts, huh? Kamaru can be the GOAT if he plays his cards right. Weird to think about.
** GOAT fighter, Conor is undisputed GOAT prize fighter in the UFC.
Look, I don't care if Usman becomes GOAT.Yea but I never said he was currently GOAT. I said he was shaping up to be GOAT.
A huge decline / drop-off is a factor people talk about. Silva also had a PED violation (which he explains by saying he needed them to recover from his injury).
And yes at this point Usman is almost unbeaten for a decade.

He definitely has been the number 1 ranked fighter in the world longer than GSP ever was. Yeah i agree, he has a path for sureMost GOAT candidates have problems with their case:

But I find it ridiculous all these "let me bash other greats, so Usman looks better by comparison".
Fedor was unbeaten for a decade fighting at HW.
Say what you wish, GSP moved up; Silva moved up, Jon is moving up... Adesanya tested himself on a WC above.... Usman is not.
Usman has knee issues. I doubt he will "age gracefully".
Counting on him remaining active and unbeaten for 4 more years is just wishful thinking.
GSP finishing rate: 54%
Usman finishing rate: 50%

Khabib is out of GOAT convos due to early retirement. If he kept fighting, he would for sure be the front runner.
Beating Colby is like beating Dominick Reyes, lol @ DC.What? Who’s Colby ever beaten to make him like beating DC?!? Lol that’s crazy.
So he’s kind of a big deal ?
- Squeaking by with wins / close victories (GSP)
Dude got a gift vs Colby. Plus, Khamzat is gonna go thru him like Jones did to Rua. He is a tremendous fighter, but a long way from being GOAT. Heck, look at Igor: dude did not taste defeat for like 38 fights as a 5'8, 68 inch reach chubby dude that took on the best heavyweights.
