Does Justin Gaethje have a good chance in beating either Islam or Oliveira?

Good chance vs Olives, although Olives is still a slight favorite imo.

Poor chances vs Islam, the grappling differential is still too large.

I actually was thinking DP is gonna head kick JG to a KO after the first round. The way Justin kept ducking his head whenever they exchanged was looking dicey until he put Dustin out.

Feels like I bet against Justin every fight. I was impressed with that head kick. What a gameplan. What an execution. They knew Dustin would be looking for the leg kicks.

I just think he still has one major flaw and those two guys can take advantage.

He has a better chance vs Islam than Oliviera does and I think he can beat charles in a rematch

I think he can. Islam's chin is not very good. Justin was landing a lot of shots on Khabib. Khabib's granite chin really helped him there and his legs were toast before he subbed Gaethje. Islam is defensively more sound but Gaethje can find the chin. If he can stay calm and collected, there is a good chance.

I’d have him as an underdog against both. I think Oliveira is the more winnable of the two though just because he can be wild and Gaethje caught him in the first fight. Gaethje just doesn’t have the grappling to be favored against either.

Justin winning kickboxing matches doesn’t tell me a lot about how he’ll do against submission and grappling guys. My guess is that if he fights either man it goes similar to his fight with Charles or Khabib.
