Does Cain have any weakness???

Easy to hit, see his first fight with JDS and with Kongo.
He outstruck JDS because his gas is that much better.

So he caught JDS with a overhand right that put him down because his gas tank is better? or is it because JDS dropped his hands while circling? yeah, that's what I thought it was.

to be fair Junior was so gassed taht he couldn't even keep his hands up.. dude looked drunk

if Cain strikes with JDS he knows he's getting KO'd.. he had a good plan to constantly pressure him until he gassed

let's not pretend that Cain is a better striker

Cain moving forward and pressuring is undefeated...Cain laying back in range is 0-1. You can disect it all you want but it comes down to wins and losses

True, but guys who come forward and pressure usually end up in trouble in a few spots in their career. The JDS that fought like he did in the first was also undefeated, but we see how that worked out.

He was the more effective striker.

I diasagree. He moves pretty well. He moves his shoulders and head now and ducks and gets outta the way

He did look a bit better but still I do think there were pretty clear openings to counter him on the way in that JDS wasnt able to take.

Watching that fight I could help but think that if Junior had a good strong straight like Kongo things may have gone very differently.

Cain worked on his striking defense a lot for this Junior fight, you could tell. I believe that was his only weakness, but he seems to have tightened that up.

Dude why are we all talking about the same topic -- yes JDS plan was a bad one and he paid the price for it.

Survived and went on to fight another day, end of story.

Regardless, cain is not a complete HW at all -- he's just GNP -- look at his record how many submissions?

0

Overeem is more well rounded than he and more experienced taking on top names.

Whereas, cain rarely took on top names.

I'd say its more the case that Cain targetted JDS's weaknesses more effectively, he didnt stay at mid range and give him time to pick his shots and instead pushed forward and exploited Jnr's lack of straight counters, knees etc.

His chin isn't stellar, and he doesn't have extremely powerful punches that said he's still the favourite over any HW fighter in the world IMO

As the other guy said, he was more effective from the very start.
