Does Barao deserves an immediate rematch?

Immediate rematches should be when the fight is close. Machida vs Shogun 1, Jones vs Gus, pretty much all of Frankie's title fights, etc not when someone gets finished and dominated.

There is a big difference between the way Anderson lost his title and the way Barao lost his.

No, the fight was a one sided beating. There is no reason for an immediate rematch.
So many recent threads about UFC's bad marketing & cards and you are suggesting they have an immediate rematch?
How does the marketing of that go?

No. Barao was defeated so badly there was no doubt. You do immediate rematches when it's super close.

Not only no, but hell no. Rematches need to be earned, and last night Barao didn't earn shit.

actually immediate rematch sell tons of ppv

Penn/Edgar was close. Barao/Dillashaw wasn't close.

He should just take some time off and reassess things. And then come back after the summer, fight a top 10 guy.

this, lower end of top ten guy. cruz should also. if they win, they fight each other for number one contender.

but time off is necessary to heal that concussion.

I'd say let Barao get his bearings back and build up to Dillashaw. I wouldn't rush into a rematch. It's not like the Gus vs Jones fight where Gus got robbed and the large majority of people everywhere saw Gus winning that fight. That deserved an immediate rematch, but Barao simply got dominated.

He does, he was obviously sick or injuried but like a proud Brazilian he wouldnt let anyone know. Dillashaw will always be that guy who got knocked out on TUF by a flyweight. Barao will get his belt back.

In general I would say no immediate rematch unless it's a controversial decision or a flash KO. But he's beaten the next 3 highest ranked fighters so it wouldn't be completely unreasonable to give it to him.

It's academic anyway, we all know Faber is getting the next shot :icon_chee

Maybe someone flashed a mirror in front of his face before the fight, eh?

Besides Weidman v Silva ??? And the 2nd fight had Rousey/Tate on it.
Edgar v Henderson didn't.
Edgar v Maynard didn't.
Shogun v Machida had about the same # of buys.

Do you notice something about those fights? Besides the first Silva/Weidman fight the others were all close yet the close fights didn't have a significant increase in ppv buys; the Edgar ones actually had a significant decrease in ppv buys.

Dillashaw v Barao was a one sided beating, what is going to make more people want to watch an immediate rematch?

It wouldn't make sense at all.

No, dominated and finished equals at least one fight before rematch.
