Does anyone here think Woodley will pull the upset?

So many upsets and titles changing hands recently, nothing would surprise me. Just a reminder of how unpredictable this sport can be.

Lawler by KO in round 5 with the scorecards even

Last five fights:

1)He beat a past his prime Koscheck. Decent win; props.
2)had a very flukey win over Condit (knee injury).
3)lost a decision to Rory, who Lobby Brawler has beaten twice.
4)Beat off the Dong by TKO
5)Beat Gastelum by decision.

Then had a 1 1/2 year layoff.

Conclusion: not enough information. He could win, but Robbie has all the tools and credentials to beat him, including massive heart.

People have been passing UFC belts around like hot potatoes recently.

I love Lawler an I am rooting for him, but would not be surprised at all if Woodley beats him. I guess one of the big xfactors is, how well is woodley gonna be able to impose his wrestling. Getting into a pure striking match with Robbie would be risky.

I don't know, but how about we pay money to find out? That's the only way fighters get paid more. Who cares if you don't like woodley... Robbie freakin Lawler is fighting! Have you not been watching him lately?! He's the epitome of what you want in an exciting champ.

Woodley certainly can. If he can keep a decent pace & stay active through every round. Lawler has been snoozing through the first 4 rounds and going HAM in the 5th the last few fights he had (I will exclude Rory but he would have lost if he didn't finish). He could have easily lost to Condit doing that, and Woodley might take advantage of that.

I haven't watched his fights lately, so I don't know how he is performing after USADA and IV ban.

I'm pretty confident that Robbie will win, but we never know. So many upsets lately.

What do you think?
Don't call to come back. He's been here for years.

basically what you said. I don't think he has a chance, but everyone has a chance, lol

i would consider lawler winning to be the upset. woodley by boring decision

Lawler is just one of 2 champions who survived through 2015 and 2016 years (DJ is the other one). That says a lot seeing how many others failed to defend. I wouldn't be shocked if Woodley beats him (he has good timing on his straight right and hits hard), but nobody has bigger heart than Robbie Lawler.

This is like a free win for Lawler. That being said anything can still happen. If Lawler sticks with his game plan its an easy fight for him compared to the last few wars he has been in.

I was 100% about Nunes winning over Tate.
100% about Bigfoot beating Overeem
100% about Alvarez beating Dos Anjos
100% about Dos Anjos beating Pettis
100% about Romero beating Machida
100% about Stipe beating Werdum.
I am 100% about Woodley beating Lawler. You'll see.

You must be rich as fuck

Woodley SHOULD win if he uses his wrestling and gnp; and it's not like he's a soft puncher.

I got all of those aswell and im one hunna on Lawler so stalemate. Woodley is like the perfect opponent for Robbie, an orthodox power puncher with little combination work and good wrestling but fades in the later rounds. Lawler will come out for a big shot early and the first opportunity he gets, he will earn Woodleys respect. Woodley May be able to hump Lawler for a bit, but not for long. Dude lifted Rory MacDonald from bottom position and slammed him to reverse position. Woodley is in for a very rude awakening when he can't connect the right hand and Lawler is in his face dictating the engagements. Woodley will not be entering the Championship rounds or be in a condition for a post fight interview.
