Does anyone here play chess ?

I used to play in the pandemic. 10 minutes rapid games.. then 3 and then went full on 1 minute bullet.

@Red Beard is pretty good. He legit smoked me when we played.

My dad taught me when I was a kid (RIP).

I play mostly 1 minute games in the 30 minute tournaments they have on going. Usually when I'm doing cardio on the bike or step machine.

I can do 3 , 10 minute games. I don't like to do long games since people cheat. I'm pretty good I think but who knows lol. .

I will edit with my player name (when I check my phone) if anyone wants some games

I play on chess.com. Used to play 5-10 minute games but then started playing 1 minute without time being added back instead, a couple of years ago. Can tell I have pretty clearly regressed when trying to play a slower paced game bc the brain is constantly in super blitz mode and you can’t be making the same type of errors when there is more time on the clock.

Just play a few longer games you will get back to it. It happens to me

I still hover around similar ratings, but my bullet game has improved a ton. I'm scratching, a 1,000 rating on there. I hope you're doing well my friend! Still on that work. Mob status.

Played from the age of 6 through college. Haven’t played a game since college. I might download a chess app on my phone and see if I still have it.

I have not been playing chess lately but watched a few streamings (which I find amazing to get sleep when I can't) and as far as I know the average level has improved a lot.. so a ELO 1,000 of today is apparently way better than a 1,000 ELO before.

I reached 1,200 on rapid and blitz. IIRC I went up to 1,300 in bullet which was my favorite to play at the end. I highly doubt you are 1,000 by the standards when I used to play. You whiped me out pretty easily lol.

We were a lot more novice when we played. I have to look at that game again. I am 992 elo for bullet right now which is the 85th percentile. I'm happy with that.

My thing is Lou Duva on the free chess time app .. but I’ll join any app yall got if you play … I suck im just obsessed with the game

Rarely if ever cause I pretty much suck at the game.
