exactly, and i think regardless of whether we all agree with each other or not, we still want discussions happening

its close to spam, i have now blocked him and the forum looks much better, the actual discussions are all there now, some of them get pushed off the first page within 24 hours and most people wouldnt even know things were being talked about

He posts in threads.
He also has a good clean foundation to posting fights so that people are all aware of whats going on.
Thats his main job at this forum. Just informing people of all the fights.

sure, he seems like a good fan. You never really know when a guy does weird shit how much they might know or where they are as a person. In some forums you might get guys who might agree with you on everything but they are still immature and goofy. You don't know until you read between the lines. We have a guy here who posts pics of him shadowboxing and shit, looks like a total goof, harmless and funny to me but he actually seems to have some knowledge on the sport which surprised me. It's hard to tell until they reveal themselves.

Real discussion threads? They’re all discussion threads. What’s wrong with “I don’t know if fight it happening or not but I think so and so knocks so and so the fuck out!” Boom a discussion. They are all topics, it keeps the discussions focused when it’s the numerous fights. I like mma lopez

Im on the more tired of discussing fan fiction fights with dorks online side.
 
i'm sorry but for the last few years, the warroom and mayberry are more interesting than the boxing forum. Right now, with the Jersey drones, that's way more interesting than anything happening in boxing at the moment. It's probably more important too depending on what is at the bottom of it. Never thought I'd end up gravitating to that side of things for the simple reason I just didn't see it a good use of time to argue about those kinds of things but there I am now.

The panhandle is beautiful! Just avoid the nazi's! I live in Boise with the other progressives.

The sports hasn't necessarily been giving much to talk about this year because the boxers aren't staying busy and when they do they aren't fighting attractive enough fights to get us talking.

I just joined after lurking for a long time to say I couldn't agree more.

This forum is great compared to most other boxing forums I have ever read or been on. There is just enough discussion. This was just such a bad year for boxing though after years of incredible fights.

I don't have a great feeling about 2025 either. Some of this on me though, many of my favorite fighters washed out or did nothing in 2024.
 
I still enjoy it although there a few people here who are a bit too strongly opinionated for my liking.

that's fine, you don't have to agree with everyone, i clash with a few regular posters here, so i am probably one of those, but i still respond to posts they make and get involved and agree with them on some things

i think me and kovalev have had a fair few back and forths but he is allowed his opinion and i dont mind disagreeing with someone and having a discussion about it, does it sometimes get heated...yeah, but its the internet, just another guy in another part of the world who loves boxing and has strong opinions

I'm satisfied with 2024 even if it wasn't as good overall. We finally got a couple fights that were years in the making, Beterbiev vs Bivol & Fury vs Usyk. Both crowned an undisputed champion. At light heavyweight we hadn't seen one since Roy over 20 years ago. At heavyweight the last one was Lewis almost 25 years ago. The Saudis made these fights happen. I'm not sure they would've happened otherwise.

just those 2 fights alone make the year for me, and we are getting a rematch before the year is out

2 of the very very best fighters at one weight, fighting each other in the same year, i dont think we have ever had 2 fights as big as those ever, plus all the amazing fights on the Rihad cards

it has possibly been the best year of boxing ever, we are getting fantastic cards with really competitive fights on them, plus all the local stuff as well

if anything, 2024 has reignited boxing for me, finally get to see people fight each other
 
The forum hasn't been the same since Jeff Sherwood left. The current management is...lacking, to say the least.

Yeah this year delivered some big fights. That's why I'm kind of scratching my head reading posts about how weak this year was in boxing. We are getting the Fury vs Usyk rematch before the end of the year and then we're getting the Beterbiev vs Bivol rematch in just a couple months along with Dubois vs Parker. Then we're also getting Benavidez vs Morrell soon.
