Does anyone enjoy this forum anymore?

Its a different forum than it was at its peak. There's a lot less knowledgable posters here, there seems to be less fans of the sport and more fans of certain fighters. Guys like the Paul brothers and Ryan Garcia have brought an undesirable element to the sport and therefore , the forum.

I guess its still fine for what it is, its just not what it used to be.

This place really started going downhill once the Pac St. Elite disbanded.

You have some memory brother. Who were you back then? Same name?

We are old as fuck

I do! For some reason I think I also remember a thread you started about who was MMA's biggest hick, with Heath Herring being a solid frontrunner.

Back in the Ezboard days my name was Vovchanchyn, but I didn't post much.

And yes, we're old. I've just turned 50.

I don't like this format of just posting a match up. I like more specific topics. Personal preference. Usyk Fury going down live. I watch MMA but my friend is a huge Fury fan so watching the fights live.

Damn, you are bringing back some funny memories. I think I remember you, but maybe it could be another Igor fan? Who wasn't an Igor fan anyway? That guy was awesome. I am now 44 years old so not that young either.

I think even if we made that poll in 2024, Herring still wins even if retired.

Nah, Heath's a legit hick for sure, maybe Top 5, but there have been a ton of gravy-sweating cousin-bangers stepping into MMA since 2001. Bryce Mitchell is the most recent example and one of the most extreme. The more I learn about him, the worse it gets!

When it was the peak of the forum for you guys?
I joined 10 years ago, at 23 years old, young as hell.
It seemed pretty lively to me then. Pac vs Mayweather rivalry was still going strong back then.
But I sense even that time must have been past this forum peak.

I never posted much but spent whole days for many years reading threads here.
I live in Europe, in a country with zero fighting culture, so it was/is the only place to talk about boxing.
I really liked it back then. Until 2-3 years ago, I was so excited that I always stayed up all night on Saturdays to watch boxing and UFC at 7 am, updating the pages in the sticky threads to read the scorecards of the members here.

Now at 33 feel like a million years old. I don't even watch the events taking place in a comfortable timezone for me, like the Saudi or English events. I am glad that I still see many of the old posters in this thread still being enthusiastic about the sport.
