Does anyone else hate Chinese food?

I have it every now and again, maybe once a month. Mcdonald's is probably healthier for you though, as terrible as that sounds.

Does American food suck if all you've had is McDonalds? The problem is that most people's exposure to Chinese food is limited to cheap Westernized take out joints. The food is often made as cheaply as possible and highlights basic flavors like: sweet, salty, fatty...If you wan't higher quality Chinese food, find a nice sit down place. The difference is vast.

And another thing, when people think of Chinese food they're thinking of Cantonese cuisine. China is very regional and each province has it's own cuisine which can differ greatly.

TS......
MAybe you should go to an actual Chinese restaurant

The reason you most likely feel like crap after eating it is because its loaded with sodium. Most people think they get headaches after eating chinese because of msg when the reality is its the sodium spiking their blood pressure.

If yo're talking about the Panda express/fast food stuff....nope. Homemade/authentic is the way to go

I am a fussy eater and don't like Chinese food whether it is westernized or authentic. But I live in a area with lots of Chinese people so there are literally about 20 Chinese restaurants right near my house. Yet not a single burger, fried chicken, or fish and chips place.

Yanchow fried rice
Honey walnut shrimp
Roast duck
Salt 'n pepper pork chop

Call it a fucking meal bitches lets eat!

Certain Chinese food is awesome especially if it's made right. I've had more experiences where you could tell they cut corners and I always feel sick later on, I've learned to be picky with Chinese food.

Dim Sum ftw son!

Pass. I went on a date to Chinatown here in Seattle and the girl brought me to a Dim Sum place... Her idea as I'd never had it. They brought around Chicken Feet and these little things that had transluscent wrapping that I couldn't identify. Ended up eating a few Saltines, had some tea and got the fuck out of there as soon as I could to grab a Cheeseburger in P-square.

Maybe I just had a bad Dim Sum experience, but I'll probably never know... Not planning on trying it again.

I used to love it when I was younger, but now I despise it. I feel like crap every time I eat it. It's like the lowest quality meat possible, and loaded with preservatives. How is this stuff so popular?

greasy, tasteless crap. would never order chinese takeout if I could help it

Wtf.
What is this shit? Are you sure that it's actually chinese food you are eating?

Chinese food is simply one of the best cuisines there is. I have no idea why you are saying that it's greasy, low quality meat and all that?

The next door chinese restaurant to me is excellent. I love eating there, and they also make take out food (the same dishes just packed into a foilbag and a bowl of rice that follows). It's quite expensive though.

Yeah how greasy and disgusting that is..

Man my jimmies are almost getting rustled here..

Here's a pic of the chef from that aforementioned restaurant next to me. He has to be in here in order to condemn all the haters.

Don't you wonder how you can get such a massive quantity of food for such a low price? It's because they use such god awful ingredients.

Authentic Chinese Food is amazing. Some friends of mine who are Chinese have taken me and the wife to authentic restaurants and ordered "off the menu" dishes, and they have been fantastic.

Plus, dim sum is the tits.

Quoting what I heard from an interview of a Chinese restaurant owner: We make it like that because that is how Americans prefer it. In actuality real Chinese food is nothing like what is shown.
I have been to a restaurant where they make Chinese food with Indian spices. I love their food. I haven't heard of any other chains of the restaurant in any other province other than BC.
