Ive learned never to get excited for a fight. It seems, in one way or another, a card will end up being ruined by a fighter pulling out.

Geez, it's happened what...about 20 times in the last 3 years alone?

I don't know if the UFC is cursed, or if there is a lack of professionalism with the fighters... But this has become so common that as a fan I cant get excited for fights anymore because whenever I do somebody pulls out.

I have been waiting on it for weeks.

Glad I wasn't disappointed.

I still get suckered in come fight week when it happens. I don't get excited until fight week for fights though anymore.

It's not over yet. Still 2 more days for them to trip on some cables.

Not even close to surprised. If a high profile fight is scheduled it’s getting canceled, most likely.

Yeah, especially these big 145 and 155 fights. Definitely had the feeling it could fall through.

I was not surprised because I was expecting Holloway/Ortega to get pulled.

I’ll be the first to admit that I did NOT see this coming, but with recent PPV pullouts I now feel like a total dumbass for thinking it would all go off without a hitch.

In hindsight, it did seem almost too good to be true.

I don't even bother getting excited until they are in the octagon anymore

After Tony/Khabib, shit ain't real until they're in the octagon.

Not the press conference. Not weigh-ins. Not hearing their respective walk out songs.

I expect every card to change a little. Though it still pisses me off when it happens.

At this point if all fighters on a stacked card weigh in successfully....screw Joe Rogan, Santa Claus himself should host the unofficial 4pm media weigh ins and declare that he is indeed real.

I knew when the fight was announced that Holloway would pull out, not Stipe or DC, but I knew Holloway of all people would pull out. It's sad how Dana of all people allows this to happen. Let's make fighters like Kelvin Gastelum and Pig Rigg to move up since they fail to make the 170lb limit and they aren't hurting anyone, but yet let's let Max Holloway fuck us over and pull out of a main event and now co-main due to weight cutting and still be the champion and fight at 145. It should be mandatory that if a champion misses weight, you HAVE to strip the belt (no if, and's, or but's) and force them up a weight class. you sir or ma'am, are NOT a true champion if you miss weight, just my 2 cents.

I'm still waiting for someone to sprain their ankle walking into the cage.

I try to block it out until the hammer eventually falls..

This all happened around the same time USADA came in
