Does anyone consider Aldo/Jung a legit finish?

Well an overhand breaking orbitals and jaws is very likely and common. I can see why someone would say Weidman got lucky, because checking the leg usually NEVER breaks someones leg

Checking with the knee it's much more common. Longo broke someone's leg in Weidman's camp demonstrating it. How common of an injury, or uncommon, does not a fluke make. These are kick checks who's main purpose is to do considerable damage to the kicker. They did just that.

Both wins were legit, but they were both unfortunate and unsatisfying as a spectator.

Maybe technically legit wins. But i mean are they really legit finishes? When Bowles broke his hand vs Cruz was that really a finish? When Corey Hill broke his leg throwing a legkick was he truly finished by his opponent? More like deemed unable to continue via injury.

Yes, it is a legitimate win for Aldo.

Could be argued that Coleman beat Shogun via great wrestling technique, making him fall on his arm and lose via TKO (injury). I think it's a freak injury

Coleman didnt beat Shoguns ass for 5 minutes and almost KOd him before that

give it a rest already, Silva got beat twice by a better fighter, the end

and lol, you dont ankle pick someone to hurt them, if he slammed Shogun and injured him it would have been a legit finish while you check leg kicks for your own protection and to hurt your opponent which it did in the case of Weidman/Silva, not just once but he hurt his leg even before a finish

Coleman didn't do a technique MEANT to break Shogun's arm, it just happened as an accident.

Weidman, on the other hand, checked Silva's kick, forcing it to break. Something that is common in Muay Thai and Kick Boxing. You need your goddamn head checked.

Breaking your leg while kicking someone makes you a lesser fighter. Makes me wonder if you are new to this sport. Oh Chael beat andersons ass too, and rocked him. Your logic is lacking son.

no, getting dominated twice and KOd is what makes you a lasser fighter than a guy who did that to you

It was a win, but for different reasons. I disagree that Aldo had anything to do with it. You could see KZs arm pop before landing against the side of Aldos head.

Really that gif is just a testament to the toughness of the Zombie! He could've easily drew the refs attention to his arm but instead he just tried to pop it back in himself.

Silvas was far worse and caused directly by the defense of Weidman. Different types of TkO.

True. but the fact is that Anderson lost 6/7 rounds to Chael and still beat him. Dudes a finisher and has a chance to win every second of a fight. Jung could have finished Aldo in the championship rounds, Aldo looked pretty tired. Never know though.

Agreed TS.

[Fluke]------------------[what happened to silva]------------------------[Legit finish]

Its somewhere in between.
