Do you use chopsticks when eating Asian food?

If they are already on the table, I do.

They work well with noodles and sticky rice.

Only thing is that they lose their efficiency at the end, when the food is small and broken up...

Well yes, its far superior eating noodle dishes with chopsticks. Sticky rice is manageable, thats an immersion thing though and a spoon would be easier so usually use both.

I eat fast so I use a fork.

I feel like people who use chop sticks and look down at you for not using them are just annoying white people that somehow think they're more cultured than you because they eat food from certain countries with two sticks.
And they slate people about how to position it @HulkOnViagra

And if so is it just an immersion thing? Do you eat all small or chopped foods with chopsticks or only when eating Asian food?

Forks and spoons are obviously easier to use so why do people who don’t regularly use them feel like they need to use chopsticks because they’re eating Asian food?

Those types of foods are designed to be eaten with chopsticks so it is an easier and better experience for me. I’ve been using chopsticks my whole life and lived in Japan for years so using them is second nature for me.

Yes, but only because cultural appropriation makes me hard

Yes. Some people assume that you’re just showing off by using chopsticks but it all depends how the food is served. Chinese utensils are obviously designed around the food and the culture, so if dishes are placed in the middle of a table or on a lazy Susan like most Chinese restaurants, then you’re going to look pretty uncouth stabbing at stuff with a fork.

Chinese do have some fast food “over rice” dishes which aren’t designed to be shared and can be eaten with a spoon by a single person.
