Do you think the UFC has the biggest gender disparity for fans among major sports?

Apparently, the NFL has the highest percentage of female fans among major sports leagues, with 47% of their fanbase being women. I couldn't find the exact numbers, but it likely goes NBA next and NHL/MLB after that. If you count MLS as a major league, it might rank ahead of MLB.

How do you think the UFC stacks up? If 47% of NFL fans are female, what percentage of UFC fans are women? Ironically, the UFC is probably the most gender-equal major sport because of how frequently they showcase their female fighters.
How do they even determine what % of their fanbase are women? No way are women of their own volition purchasing tickets or paying for a PPV for an event, i assume the females you see in the crowd to usually be a tagging along with their bf/ husband etc.

Women don't like sports. They just like the social aspect behind it. NFL is part of pop culture and gives them the opportunity to gossip and bake cakes and shit on Sundays. They will never get into MMA and we should all thank God for that.

My wife now enjoys UFC fights with me and knows several of the fighters/matchups.

I've introduced a few friends to the fights as well, but without consistently watching several events in a row, the only interest in it is the surface level violence.

I've hosted a couple PPV parties (Saudi cards so we can start in the afternoon). And my BIL / SIL and a couple close friends have the attention span for about 6 fights and aren't great at telling the difference between a main-card skilled fighter and early pre-lims.

She is attracted to fighters

I thought we buried that phrase in the same reinforced steel coffin we buried McCain in to make sure he isn't reanimated during a nuclear war.
There’s a weird american undead running loose on my backyard, it appeared a few weeks ago, any distinguishing feature ? He’s eating all my moles

Because like roosters, mma fighters werent get paid shit. Boxers can get a payday and Olympics. Shit I don’t know lol
As a debutant rooster I got paid earthworm/earthworm.

I’m calling bullshit on that number. Women just like to have something they can do with their husband or claim a shared interest. Just because you put on your Jerzee and go to the bar on Sunday so you can get drunk while your man watches the game doesn’t make you a fan.

If we’re talking about college, then it’s more of a social function or somewhere to go to meet people and get laid.

Yeah, I don't buy that.

ive met and been around way more women who care maybe not the technical aspects of boxing but they def come for
the build up Drama and Hype...as opposed to UFC. when it comes to the ufc its practically zero... again it depends on what area you're from
but women seem to care alot more about floyd/pac fight, tank/ryan garcia , mike tyson fights as opposed to jon jones
Islam Khabib or sean strickland fights lol. im sure with connor and ronda you could find women who care abit more... but thats it.

in fact i could hold a conversation about Boxing to a random woman at the bar hosting the fight
or even in my family WAY MORE than i ever could for any UFC event.
matter of fact BACK THEN most dudes didnt care for it either. i was one of the few in my high school to care.
Kimbo slice and street fights was another thing as that was cool but the UFC not so much

ah, see im not really drawn into the personality/celebrity drama hype element. for me its about the VIOLENCE. and also the displays of skill, heart, etc. i just love the whole package, apart from the TMZ-ish stuff.

i dont meet too many people who are into boxing or MMA period, nevermind women. its a bummer cause a lot of people are into sports but its all football, basketball, baseball, yawn yawn yawn. i dont like watching men play with balls, i dont swing that way. <BC1>

boxing's been around a lot longer than MMA so it makes sense that youd find more people on average who know about it. i know like 3 dudes who are into boxing.
my wife watched the recent Fury/Usyk rematch with me and really enjoyed it. a few of my cousins heard about it as well.

i hope to meet more people into combat sports. its fun watching it any way, but its more fun watching it with friends

And yet MMA is the only sport where they push women‘s sport that nobody gives a shit about
