First if you actually belived they were going to deport 11 million people then I don't know what to say.

If you have a criminal record you should be gone.

Then if you came here as an adult then you committed a crime and might stay if you meet the requirements and take the decided punishment. This is the same for older minors that crossed without family.

If you were very young and meet the requirements then their should be a parh for citizenship.

Short synopsis;
- No, he doesn't think she should be deported
- No mass deportation
- Trump team is focused on violent illegals

What do you guys think? This seems to directly contradict Trump's campaign promises of deporting 11 million illegals. I think many predicted this would occur from the onset.

UPDATE: I can't believe I need to add this, but since so many people failed to comprehend the point of the OP, I'll restate. The question isn't whether YOU believe the woman should be deported, it's whether or not what Paul Ryan says contradicts Trump's campaign promise to deport all illegals.

Mr. Ryan was decidedly lukewarm in his "support" of Mr. Trump during the 2016 elections, so it really doesn't surprise me that he's not onboard with the idea of mass deportations.

i think Ryan's main objectives remain the same as they've always been; to lower taxes on the wealthy whilst figuring out a way to send Social Security monies out of the public sector and on to Wall Street.

more surprising to me is how a staggering proportion of Trump cabinet nominees seem to hold views that are antithetical to the President elect.

Now you're denying that unlawful presence is a violation of law? lmao, don't make a fool out of yourself.
It's not a crime, it's a violation of federal immigration law and can be punished, not by criminal but civil penalties (removal)

No thanks. I know how this ends. For the record, I never said that I do or do not agree with the Dream Act, I said people may have objections that don't fit nicely into your "you must hate brown people" box. It took me all of 5 seconds to Google some objections.

Valid as in logically consistent, if you claim you opposed illegals because they are illegal or because they are moochers why are you opposing legislation that would help those that contribute to regularize its status?

Of course. My point is: Unlawful presence is not a crime.
It still is a violation of law which can be punished and has consequences for the alien.

I've already answered that I have no idea except that it is a multiple of 11. I did not say "at least 44 million". But it may indeed be 30-40 million. I don't know. And neither do you. Nobody does. That is the point.
