"Do You Think I Should Be Deported?"

Nobody is talking about legal residents. Your grandmother was a legal immigrant/resident. We welcome immigration from all over the world. Always have. LEGAL immigration. Your grandmother qualified for the welcome mat.
Would it be any different if she was from the global south and dark skinned?

Maybe other people have similar objections and don't just hate brown people. Something to consider.

When people claim that they hate illegal immigration because they are illegal or because they are leechers while adamantly opposing the DREAM act one can only wonder about their reasons for opposition.

Link to the criminal code please.

That it is a crime to be here illegally? To circumvent our border and enter a sovereign nation illegally? I can assure you, that is illegal on its face. My post is your link to common sense.

No, its not.
Correct but also doesn't imply anything.
Improper entry by aliens is a misdemeanor and a misdemeanor is a crime.
Unlawful presence itself isn't a crime, it is still a violation of law, which is punishable.
Deportation is such a civil penalty applied to punish violations of federal law.

So while illegal aliens who didn't commit improper entry aren't criminals by definition, they still violate the law and can/should be punished.
What DACA does is that it basically excludes them from this punishment.

For something to be a crime it must be stipulated on the law, common sense is irrelevant. Care to point out the law where it states that illegal status is a felony?

You can also cross the border legally and still become an illegal later in life, for example if you overstayed your visa.

An Obama admin "DHS Investigation" with the ever-competent Jeh really checkin' you out, right?
And yes, you simply say you were brought here as a minor. That's the whole problem with it.
You don't know what you are talking about? Do you know any lawyers or anyone on daca? Before your case is looked at by an agent you have to have your biometrics done at a dhs office and then have your background checked by the fbi.

That's on whoever brought her here, I don't care. It's not on me and we owe her nothing. GET OUT.

Lol, people who claim shit like that are either:

1- Full of crap
2- Sociopathic

I don't care what the opinion of either of those populations thinks.

I'm sure Ryan and Trump already have a list of illegals who're violent criminals and they'll deport them which is the right move in general but they'll tout it as this massive victory as if they really followed through on the deport campaign. His followers will then say something like "you all took him too literally - he never meant he was going to round up 12 million people... he was talking about 'the rapists'." Never mind the number of people Obama has deported.

Now you are spinning it. I said a crime, not a felony. We have MANY layers of criminal behavior here (misdemeanors of varying severity) below felony status.

If you haven't figured it out by now, it's never productive to just come into a conversation and accuse people of being racist because they disagree with you. Even the DREAM Act can be debated without one being racist.

Except she isnt guilty of improper entry.

Explain one good reason to oppose the DREAM act for people who immigrated as kids.

So just to understand your argument- There is no reason to oppose the Dream Act except for racism? Is this correct?

Its not a misdemeanor either.
