Do You Think Cain vs. JDS III Was Too Soon?

Does it really matter? I'm glad it's over and done with so we don't have to keep arguing for a while. If JDS and Cain keep winning, they'll do a 4th fight.

It shouldn't have been, Junior should've been able to work on a better game plan and work on his movement but apparently is was too soon for him cause he showed up with the same plan as before.

Voted no. I do feel it was quick, however there weren't a whole lot of other great options besides Werdum. Reem lost, Nelson lost, Miocic wasn't ready, Browne...yeah, you get the idea. Cain needed a fight, JDS is the #2 HW and was ready and willing.

Yes, he hasn't had enough time to work on his wrestling.

He had plenty of time. Just because somebody isn't ready for the test doesn't mean the test was too early.

TS. I am disappointed that you changed you AV. You always had the best until now.

No way.

Too soon is better that too late. Those two HW's in the their prime only needs one injury to leave one behind where the fight doesn't happen for another 3 years and neither of them are champion anymore like Chuck/Wand for example and so many others.

UFC should have made JDS vs Barnett and Cain vs Werdum first. Barnett would be a good test since he would try to pressure JDS and use his clinch and ground came.

I voted no, but then again, I can see the case for it being too soon.

I only voted no, because it was only fair for JDS to beat one fighter to get his rematch, which is exactly all Cain had to do to get his rematch with JDS.
Both times were too soon.

I think Cain vs. JDS II was too soon. But after giving Cain a rematch after one fight, it was only fair to give JDS a rematch after one fight. Nothing they can do about it now.

Yes, but what else were they going to do? These are by far the two best HW in the world. Who else was there? And don't say DC because he won't fight Cain.

Definitely, maybe another year or few months at the very least, the trilogy concluded in 2 years, very short trilogy.

Yes.

My general rule for rematches, especially in title fights, is that unless the last fight ended in controversy the challenger should have to fight 3 fights before getting a rematch. This gives other fighters a chance at the belt, helps reduce repetition in matchmaking, and gives both fighters more of a chance to evolve and potentially make the rematch more interesting.

Definitely to soon. We may have saw a more competitive fight had JDS built up his confidence with a few more wins and had time to get over the first loss. Give him a few years and maybe we'll see a more engaged JDS in a 4th fight.

I'm a big fan of both Cain and JDS, but Cain's last 5 fights were against the same 2 guys. I'd rather see more variance.
