Great move to have stopped. That’s a solid investment in your health.

I grew up when people smoked everywhere. Airplanes with dirty ashtrays seem such an impossible thing now, but I remember having to choose smoking or non smoking when booking tickets.

My mother in law used to smoke a pack of day inside her house. Whenever we’d go visit we’d wash all our clothes as soon as we got back to our place. Disgusting.
My mom had 3 sisters who smoked ,she’s the only one alive now and looks at least 20 years younger then her real age . My fathers still alive my parents both quit in their 20”s ,my fathers dad passed in his 70”s and he’s still alive at 85 still competes in dancing as well despite having numerous stents in him . Smoking definitely robs one of quality of life down the stretch .

My brother still smokes and is overweight fir his size so he’s going to be checking out unfortunately way bf I plan .

i stupidly picked up the habit later in life, at around twenty-seven. i was never a huge smoker. i averaged around three cigarettes a day i'd say. it didn't seem like an issue at all until i got to my late thirties and began noticing a bunch of wrinkles on my face that others my age didn't have. that's when i realized that while it wasn't affecting my breathing or anything, it was hurting the way i looked and that's why i quit lol. nothing to do with health; all to do with vanity. thinking back, it didn't provide much of anything for me aside from a mellow feel from a buzz.

I used to smoke Black N Mild wine wood tips. Quit cold turkey going on 3 years now.

Dirty smoker here. Started in high school. Wasn't really a full on habit till the last few years.

Usually only smoked when I didn't have weed which was rare. Now it's both. Vaping doesn't do it for me, for either of them.

Used to .

The Fancy American spirits didn't even taste good anymore

No, as a kid i wanted to put lit cigarettes out on people that smoked (mom included). I know this has to be a real role reversal for some of you. The ones that had discipline in the form of a glowing red Paul Mall to the arm mainly.

There is a fine line between living your life and just playing with fire. Cigarettes are just asking for some sort of issues. Its one of those things you have to FORCE yourself to like as the first few are horrible It's all for vanity and then you are hooked. Just not smart.

No way. I did for around 2 years back in the early 2000s

I also remember the pre smoking ban days in pubs and clubs and it was horrendous

It’s honestly surprising to me that people can be foolish enough to do it knowing the impact it has on your health

Smoking is cool as fuck and enjoyable. The smell after is gross but you'll not smell that in a couple weeks. I would smoke cigarettes over vaping 100%.

But I don't because it's bad for my lungs, I start getting short of breath. Performance is more important.

When I am 80, if I get that far I'll take it up then.

Every once in a while. Maybe once a month or something. Not because i'm addicted. I just think it looks kewl.

I was smoking when I was 9 but luckily I made the choice to quit when I was 16. Those fireball hard candies helped me quit.

Periodically when there's alcohol on my breath to cover the smell.

I quit cigarettes like 6 months ago. I started using vapes but I'm not convinced it's safer than cigarettes. My voice slightly changed since using vapes. I might go back to cigarettes.

The vapes were the only thing to successfully get me to quit cigarettes. The patches and gums didn't work. Vapes made it super easy

Smoked most of my adult life but quit around five years ago.

Nope I've never smoked.

I'm currently avoiding nightshades. Tobacco is a member of the nightshade family, with other members being potatoes, tomatoes, red peppers, etc. It is often said that tobacco is dangerous due to the toxins found in it. Curiously the same toxins are found in the other nightshade family members.

No. But I do smoke good quality cigars on occasion. Have several that sit in my humidor so when the urge hits to relax with a nice whiskey I’m ready.

I haven't smoked in about 6 years now. Don't crave for it at all. I remember my younger days when I first started going to clubs. The place just reeked with cigarette smoke and your clothes still smelled like cigarettes when you got home.

Do you guys smoke cigs?

I grew up in a time when parents smoked in the house and car. Opening both drivers side windows so the ashes go out the front and fly into the back. With that experience, I never had the inclination. Smoked one in Ireland and one with a visitor from Germany. Never had an interest tho.

The problem with vapes is people being hospitalised or dead with vaping and we don't really know the long term effects being it's only been a thing for 20 years.

Crazy my friend quite heavily vaping in the same room as her newborn daughter thinking it was safe.

Sometimes and I vape 0.3% nicotin liquid daily. Started at 30. Out of curiosity. Creeped into habbit. I mean first puff was at like 4. But never was a smoker or lung inhaled till I was 30. Was anti cigarettes.

I used to smoke socially. It does nothing for me. If anything it caused sore throat and other issues. Not fun.
