Social How has society changed?

Kids who went through the D.A.R.E. program were more likely to do drugs and abuse it than kids who didn't take the program <lmao><lol><Dany07>
I remember the first time I smoked pot college and thought I was a bad kid. I was thinking "holy shit I can't believe I'm doing this." Then I got high and thought "This isn't a big deal at all. Why was everyone making a fuss about this?" My first time getting drunk was a bigger shock to the system.

First time I smoked weed was when I 14/15 years old and I thought it was the best thing ever. But around 17/18 I stopped liking it because it was making me depressed and stuff, so I stopped smoking the ganja LOL

I stopped drinking for similar reasons. When I get drunk I spiral mentally. Not fun at all. Weed hasn't done to me yet but I never been a regular smoker. Also nobody calls it pot anymore. Apparently the new term now is "flower."

Social media has made people feel very self important, looking for attention and validation from normal every day things that everyone has always done. Its made people think they're celebrities in their own little world, and their value is tied to how many likes or comments they can get when they post online.

Not everyone is like that of course but it's sad how narcissistic people have become, fronting a life that a often times is a lie.

My social media is more of a sideshow or an afterthought. I never realized how important social media is for people until I got a earful from a woman I know about how I wasn't aware of a mutual friend going through hard times. I didn't know because she never told me, and her reaction was "How can you not know? Didn't you see her instagram stories?" Lol. Grown adults communicate through instagram stories instead of actually talking to each other now.

...which is why the "like" feature in sherdog was a massive step backwards :(
