Woodstove for heat, with propane "Buddy heater" as a back-up. Small propane camp stove, but I cook a lot on the woodstove these days. I've got an air-conditioner I run off of a small generator for a few hours in the hot Summer evenings. Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the outhouse...

I think that can happen, and so some man caves can be a pathetic reflection of a sad relationship.

But it can also be a place just for you. There is nothing wrong with that. If you invite guests over they aren't all going to want to be in a room filled with stuff you like, and you might not your kids friends playing with your 2,000 dollar projector. Their are legitimate reasons for a man room.

I work from home and I have an office, definitely my office, my desk to be more exact is my man cave... when I have a big discussion with the wife I go straight to my desk and get on the computer, she can see me from the living room but she doesnt dare to get close and poke the beast when Im in my cave
