Do you have a "Man Cave?"

Mine's the usual coupla clubs, coupla spears, coupla animal skins, coupla wall etchings, and a fireplace type man cave. Nothing special, but better than most.

The garage is all mine but that pretty standard. I have all my Round5 MMA toys on the wall and some posters and flags. That's also where I have my workout junk, thai bag, tools and shit.

My gf just bought me a TV that will be used for a more official "man cave" in our back room. I'll move my PS3 and audio stuff over there and use it for gaming.

That way if she wants to watch vampire diaries she can watch it in the front room and I can play games or watch horror movies in the back.

No, but I have a Man Cabin. Does that count?

Nearest human is about 2 miles away. Totally off-grid. Solar powered. Rain water catchment. On-demand propane water heater with shower and sink. Woodstove for heat, with propane "Buddy heater" as a back-up. Small propane camp stove, but I cook a lot on the woodstove these days. I've got an air-conditioner I run off of a small generator for a few hours in the hot Summer evenings. Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the outhouse...

A haven of traquility. Nothing else comes close.

Nice. Would love to have a getaway home like that. To really get away from everything. Reflect and shit.

No, but I have a shelf of transformers figures and another for other transformers stuff. "Kid's corner" perhaps?

Got a garage with 4 dirtbikes converted to supermoto i enjoy my beer so have a bar fridge when i work on them would love to get a tv for my 2tb of movies :)

One of the benefits of being single is that I have dominion over the whole house.

That's sweet. You have internet and satellite or cable?

Just broadcast TV. I'll eventually get internet through my Verizon cell phone. I rarely watch TV, and I doubt I'll use internet much when I get it. Most evenings are occupied with cooking, listening to music, playing my acoustic guitar and reading. Last night I finished a book, A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy, in my pursuit of tranquility.

possenti is a boss.

That looks incredibly awesome and tranquil. After looking at that picture I'm going to look at some pictures of off the grid living and then shut the comp down. Ive been on it for almost two hours now. It's time to read the night away in peace.

Try cabinporn.com. (I think that's the name of the site. I can't confirm it because the computer here at work blocks anything with "porn" in the url.) Some great, inspiring hi-res pictures there.

If i understand correctly isnt a man cave essentially what you create because your wife/ gf controls the rest of the house? :icon_lol:

Not necessarily. My man cave is wresting mats, heavy bags and weights. Those are things my wife wants nothing to do with. I have offered to work out with my her but she's not at all interested in bjj drills or kickboxing stuff, so she excludes herself from the area thus making it my man-cave.

Yep. Crickets chirping, watching fireflies, the stars and meteors streaking across the sky at night...frightening stuff. I will admit, however, that the first time you hear the coyotes yipping and howling is a little unsettling, but now I can call out to them and they usually call back at night. Just friendly neighbors - much more friendly than our fellow humans in the "civilized" world.

-And just in case Jason, Leatherface or zombies show up, I'm very well-armed. :) I also have a couple of security cameras set up to monitor my solar panels and battery bank.

Sort of. Half of my garage is a gym (mats/weight rack/treadmill) with a TV. I go in there to work out and sometimes I just lay on the floor and watch tv.

I live on my own so my whole house is a man cave - I have great tech and sports and movie memorabilia throughout every room. Admitingly the Gf comes around every day but I could be left to my own devices for weeks on end and be satisfied.

I hate the phrase "man cave" so much.

This ^^. I don't watch that much TV. I PVR the football games I'm interested in and watch them ~40mins.

I have a very nice exercise room, but my wife uses it too. My kids like to swing from the bar on the smith machine, wobble board, and do sit ups while I'm working out. I have a TV in the exercise room with bluetooth wireless headphones but I like it when the kids come in to work with me.
