I have in the past. It's very rare that I give money to the homeless.

One that stands out was a street kid 20 or so years ago with a sign that said "shoot a homeless kid for $2" and she had a suction dart gun sitting next to it. Creativity like that deserves a reward.

Probably the opposite. If they have the cleverness of a funny/punny sign and put some effort into it was lettering and even colors I don't think they're really at rock bottom, but just lazy and probably scammers TBH.

If they are hungry i might buy them food. We have an odd homeless population here where not all are truly homeless.

There is also one guy who for every week in the last 5 years has asked me for money, even if you turn him down five minutes ago. All he does is wander down town asking for money, then walks home after 6 and he occasionally visits a certain pub. I repeatedly tell him to fuck off even in front of our doctors.

No I don't give money to people with signs. I only give stuff away to people who ask for specific things. Like when I walk into a 7eleven and one of the many guys hanging outside asks for something specific, I'll get him it if it's not tobacco or alcohol. I don't have money for that. Usually it's a soda, chips, coffee, or water.
