You left out the posts where I thought it was stupid to ban transgender people from military service. There have been several others as well in regards to some foreign policy decisions as well as cutting VA budget.

Sure you can and in fact it is often the only way to hide the failures at home.

it is page 1 of the historical authoritarian play book that if your economy is struggling and you have unrest in the people but you have a stronger army than you neighbor, then you go to war against them, which unites your people, and you take all the wealth from their country into your own, creating a temporary feeling of increased prosperity.

It is, in large part why Putin invaded Ukraine but Putin was caught off guard by how much graft had been happening with money that was supposed to go in to the military and instead just went into Oligarch pockets leaving his military in shambles.

And they do not believe any of them will stop expanding. They believe only force can prevent them clashing. So if America is strongest after absorbing much of the West the others would avoid fighting with them.

Truth is though the people behind this do not care about the future that far out, they just believe that the Oligarchs friendly to Trump, during the collapse and chaos will make so much more money than they can in the current system. Same as the oligarchs who supported Putin believed.

The alternative would have been someone with stable policies in place with stable people around her helping make decisions which is how the president in real life actually operates.

Instead we got a gut crashing planes , stock markets crashing , waging war with everyone through threats of tarriffs because he thinks they work , destroying our own fragile wildlife with backwards policies , deporting innocent ppl by the thousands to meet a quota number , attacking veteran’s benefits, hiring autistic ppl to fire government officials and slowly rid agencies that can tell them no among many other crazy stuff he’s doing , putting Sylvester Stallone , Jon Voight and Mel Gibson as unofficial appointees is another type of crazy Mel just fired someone the other day ,
