you report lost children to the service desk who make an announcment and in failing to draw the parents' attention leave them in the custody of the manager or relevant aid i.e shop security. Failing to find the parents the store then calls the police. You think the employee is meant to aimlessly wander searching for the family for the remainder of their career. If any of you find my wallet I'm fucked.

Actually the service desk thing is even a bit too far since an announcment like that is uncertain in who you will attract.
