Do we really need carbs?

your doing a good job mate! i havent trained for 18 months, just had 3rd shoulder op and praying on my knees tht i cant get back into the gym withing 3 months , just reading and catching up on the new nutritional stuff since ive been away , new sups , drugs and other stuff

18 months with 3 ops and constant physio has taught me a lot and been one of the most mentally painfull things ive gone through

I didnt bother reading this thread, but Ill just post my answer...YES , athletes and weight trainers need carbs. Can you train with out them? SUre, people, lots of people do it every day (keto diets, UD2.0 etc). But athletes, trainiers, bb'ers need carbs to perform as effeciently as possible. Its more about carbohydrate timing, and the type of carbs you take in that are important.
