His book is best seller now and when shit gets bad....white people always return to their roots. So I am not surprised a lot of posters here admire Hitler. He was a strong leader.....not weak lib.

I'd say, at least in this country (USA) you never get a fair history of things. So you're taught from a young age that Hitler is basically on par with the devil in terms of evil and that's about it. There's no pretext to why or how etc, no attempts at understanding how the events occurred whether they were reprehensible or not (of course they are).

WWI was not necessarily Germany's fault, a number of factors lead to it and if there was blame then it was certainly to be passed around. Afterward the Treaty of Versailles and the Great Depression put Germany in a hopeless, desperate position in which an uprising of some sort was nearly inevitable.

It has it's similarities to ISIS today... Did ISIS spring up out of nowhere? Or out of 20 years and 2 wars, a completely destabilized region and a puppet government that the people in the region reject?

Is ISIS batshit crazy? Of course. But to say they are just purely evil and nothing more is to not tell the story.

The point here is that evil people never classify themselves as evil, they believe their cause is good for some reason, usually based on some flawed ideology.

There's all sorts of reasons that someone could claim the USA is/was evil... we exploit people for political or monetary gain all the fucking time. But whatever, go 'merica. We rock.

You cannot seperate the two. They were monsters because they caused the deaths of tens of millions of people. If Hitler had been content to rule Germany and treat the Jews like shit, expel them etc but stop short of killing them, he'd have been an asshole. But not a monster.

And yeah, Mao arguably holds the record as far as kill counts go.

Also: post like a bitch, get treated like a bitch.:)

This is not only an American problem. Pretty much in every country history is taught as black and white. Good vs Evil. Its also the reason why you see so many people across the world who see everything as black and white. Most governments dont really want their population to ask too many questions as an educated society who is focused on whats going on is absolute pain in the ass to rule over in a Democracy. So with the amount of freedom we actually have, you kinda have to dumb down people and simplify things to keep people calm.

hitler was never going to stop short of killing them. plus he had a bunch of other people on his kill list. youre separating hitler from reality too with him being content to rule Germany. he had grand plans to make the east living space for germans which would require conquest of those places. even if you somehow contain him to germany, all that aggression would be turned inwards.

thing about genghis khan was that his conquests were some of the most pointless conquests in history. all it did was cause lots of and lots of death for the conquered while mongolia remained the same. he is attila the hun on steroids.
 
The man was a genocidal maniac who was pro-socialism, anti-capitalism, pro 'Palestine' (which would make him pro islamofascism), pro collectivism, pro ethnocentrism, anti-individualism, and pro big government. If I was an evil scumbag who didn't care about the fact that he viciously murdered swaths of people, I'd hate him based on his other political policies alone. Those are all tenets that I vehemently disagree with.

That would be a very simplistic take of course.

How about another example. In school we are largely taught that the mighty USA strolled into WWII and won the war punctuated with the unveiling of the atomic bomb which was a prudent decision to end the war quickly and ultimately save lives that would be lost in a drawn out war.

Except not really, the pacific war was a certainty especially with Russia's involvement on the west side essentially encircling Japan's already completely depleted forces.

No, Mr "negroes were made from mud" Harry Truman nuked two Japanese cities because he wanted the surrender to be on the USA's terms and they didn't want to make concessions to the Russians on the region, it also served as a short lived big stick swing to the Russians... like, seeee this is what WE got.

In the meantime we managed to incinerate a couple civilian populations... meh, they don't look like us, aren't real people... don't matter. It blows me away that more people aren't ASHAMED of that... but instead they wear it like a badge of pride. It would certainly be reasonable that some people might see that act as "evil" right? Harry Truman, president sociopath.

I get that this doubles as weak, liberal revisionist history etc... and I'm not that guy. I'm just saying that we learn things in a manner that isn't always true and distorts the reality of events.
