Well.....hitler wasnt a big fan of minorities...and his followers generally are not either. And you like hitler.

Where is the false assumption?

He loved the german minorities trapped in Poland, Sudetes, etc... who were being erased

I know one person who likes Hitler, but he's a Nazi of sorts so I guess that isn't a surprise.

Why yes, I do have rather colorful acquaintances. And some that are very much against color.

My best friend is a neo-nazi. Hes literally the most generous person ive ever met. He has a heart of gold and regularly does charity for minorities. Hes not the monster many would assume. We get along great despite our racial differences.

Thank you for that clarification. Aside from semantics, how does it actually and substabtively relate to the issue ive raised?

I will say this... the heart is capable of love despite the racism that resides elsewhere in a person

For decades, blues musician Daryl Davis has been raising eyebrows with his unconventional hobby: befriending and converting bigoted members of the Ku Klux Klan, whose white hoods he symbolically collects along the way.

“I try to bring out the humanity in people,”

The Nazi dude I know is mostly a happy-go-lucky drunk. I'm also of the opinion that he isn't serious with the NS stuff but likes to piss off the easily pissed off.

Oh yeah, that reminds me of another pal of mine, he had a Hitler moustache for at least a year straight. I know he hates foreigners (unless they play in a metal group), but don't know much else about his politics.

I guess they are, but considering the cards they were dealt I'm not going to judge them. Not everyone can be tall, handsome and intelligent like me.

Its a good point about the cards they were dealt. I forget that.

I just watched Inglorious Basterds. The part where Hitler's face gets sprayed with bullets is hilarious.

My friend is a historian so he's pretty hardcore into the literature.

Hey, So what exactly gets you hot and bothered about hitler (you all said you liked him)

and @Madmick

First let me just set the record straight. I don’t particularly “like” Hitler, nor do I have posters of him on my wall …nor do I swear allegiance to the local chapter of the Aryan Nation. I’m not even white.

Obviously, he was a morally reprehensible human being who carried out some of the worst crimes against humanity.

That being said, there are definitely aspects of his history and personality I do admire, as well as his accomplishments. Similar to how I respect certain qualities of Osama bin Laden

What he accomplished was astonishing…turning a broke country, crushed in its morale….to becoming a local superpower in the span of less than a decade.

I mean, I love how he pissed on the Versailles Treaty and told all of his debtors (England, France etc) to fuck off, and defied the French by marching on the Rhineland…

I loved how he preached to the German people that they were the salt of the earth, and not to be ashamed of who you are. (complete 180 from their politicians today)

And how can you not admire his ambition…annexing Austria, the rest of Czechoslovakia after taking the Sudetland, attacking Britain…destroying France in less than a week…and of course…his hamartia…invading Russian in the dead of winter.

I also loved his “fuck yous” to his enemies…like mounting a swastika on the Eifel Tower…having the French sign their surrender in the rail car…

If hitler was content with ruling germany hed still be up there with the pol pots, stalins and milosovics of history

With Pol Pot and Miosovics, possibly. With Stalin? Bitch, please. Uncle Joe killed more Russians through purges etc than the Nazis managed in four years of total war. Stalin was just as ruthless as Hitler. The difference between them was their beliefs and motivations(not that it mattered to their victims).

Hitler was a fanatic. He actually believed that shite about the Thousand Year Reich and the destiny of the Aryan Race. By contrast, Stalin was a gangster. He only cared about securing his own power. He was far more pragmatic than Hitler.

Yeah i guess some people are either lying either or both to themselves and others about why they like hitler.

And/or you have an obsence ability and desire to compartmentalize his actions

You also sound like a hitler fan boy, go find a new hero to worship. My friends dad survived a nazi firing squad and then joined the army...THATS a bad ass, not hitler

If a guy raped your mom but was a great artist would you buys his work?? And how would you feel if i did, and casually called you a snow flake for being angry with me?

you and the others that responded yes have some serious issues. Your responses are nothing more than rationalizations and you need rethink this.
