Do people honestly think that Wonderboy is a better striker than Tyron?

Same with MAIA......MAIA got no blame for the tyron or Anderson Silva fight....even tho its obvious that he is the problem, because he sucks at engaging.

This! To further that.. I was in attendance at both of their fights. First fight won Fight on the Night bonus and was considered one of the best fights of the yr.. Second fight, many casuals, media, fighters, Fans, etc.. said it was a replica of the first fight, but the casuals and haters called it boring, etc etc.. Yet other fighters called it a masterful performance and the blueprint on how to beat Thompson. Similar to casuals and media saying DJ is overrated, yet most fighters say he is their favorite fighter.
 
I don't like Woodley because he log jammed the WW division after his Gastelum win. Ducked matchups and waited to cherry pick the title. Prove me wrong.

Yep hate is real. Gsp fand cant accept the fact that their hero has been surpassed by tyron who is the best welterweight of all time. Their way to deride woodley's achievements is by constantly bombarding gifs of his ko loss against marquardt when he was a novice lmfao. Not to mention his loss to rory where he was green. Yes, he was green. He dint even have a coach at the time. Since then, he made some significant changes. His leaned out and to increase his power, cardio and strength. His boxing and fight iq has vastly improved. None of those fighters would beat him now. Rory has the best chance since he is woodley'a nightmare matchup. However, tyron actually gameplans now under roofus. Rory post nose injury would lose to tyron.

Lima annihilated him. Its such a shame that judges dont deteremine the outcome of a fight based on damage sustained.
 
Thomson should be the champ, he won the first fight.

This is where MMA fans show how truly stupid they are. You need to talk to some boxing fans, REAL fans that have watched the sport for a while and let them decimate you in a debate when you take that position. There's a saying in boxing "A good boxer beats a good brawler" and it is true. When you understand what that means, you'll understand how wrong you were.

That said, I think Woodley is a better FIGHTER and that is why he won. In a pure striking match, WB wins the majority of the time.

@VVarhead said it best, I've been saying this for awhile now WB is extremely overrated 4 first rd KO's with only two names of note USADA effected Hendricks & a played WB's fight game Whittaker, the rest slugs. Those who didn't play his karate/kickbox fight game he fought to a decision or lost. I see WB as very beatable just make him fight and he gets lost & timid when you take his karate away.

He reminds me of the early days of Ultimate fighting as only 1 discipline and sticks to it, he needz far more mix in his martial arts for my likings...

Here’s the problem with this. GSP double legs Wonderboy immediately and he has no hope of getting up.

I like Wonder but he cannot defend the takedown from GSP.
