Do people feel stupid for hyping up Greg Hardy

Yeah that’s why I brought that up. It seems like sherdog never wants to acknowledge it ever happened. Some people defended her hard but as you said holly was the unsung hero here, she deserves way more credit than she has.

2003 account, wow you’ve seen some shit here I guess.
Well said my friend, totally agree. And yes, as a long time Sherdog poster I’ve seen plenty of nonsense from the unhinged fan boys of various fighters. And of course, no one ever acknowledges or admits their stupidity, which is why I love reminding folks.

Why?
Serious question.

Because I think just about everyone that ever messes up does deserve redemption. Outside brutal murder / torture/rape or habitual violence upon innocent people.

He got angry with a woman and hit her. Ive lived with many women and they can be very challenging. Especially to a young man that never was taught properly. It takes expreience to know how women can be and not care about the vicous games they play or give them the info they need to play them.

Experience / age changes a man. We grow wiser but it takes many years and experiences.

I think NFL is bad that they encourage violence and pump athletes with drugs. They push them to be super hyper competitive with out the right philosophy to keep the ego that comes with that in check.

Edit: I also add it is below a man to hit someone below them physically ie woman, physically / mentally handicapped, or very old. I dont even like hitting very drunk people for this reason. But if someone is about to commit violence to you, and you have no choice, I believe you must defend yourself to a degree that prevents any harm coming to you as an innocent person. Not saying this was Hardy's choice.

You're trying to sound intelligent, but really sound fucking stupid. How many inner city troubled kids go to MMA or boxing due to problems?

If he has a problem with rage and violence, how would MMA, training, sparring and competing with other heavy weight men not be a great outlet to help him?

Fuck off cunt.

And you sound really stupid equating all "inner city youths" with problems, to proven women abusers. You sound even more stupid by, for some reason even bringing the inner city into the argument, when you could have simply said, "how many people".

But you sound most stupid by not understanding the difference between using boxing or mma as therapy as opposed to publicly celebrating a man who was shamed and ran out of a different sport, and now unapologetically declares himself the prince of War and is internationally broadcast.

But I'll take your half formed arguments to heart. Keep being superior champ.

If all that were true, MMA would be the best career route for him to take. But you keep saving damsels in distress

Well, there's no "ifs" about it. It is all fact. And, I'm not sure where I said I was saving damsels in distress by choosing not to celebrate a man with a history of horrible and casual violence, and I'm even more confused how you would figure that defending people whom have been victims of domestic abuse as a bad thing. But sorry my post triggered you bud, keep fighting the good fight snowflake.

how do you know? THis was thrown out of court and he has maintained that he is innocent the entire time. She never showed up to court and they threw the case out of the window. So exactly how do you know this even happened? Im not saying he didnt do it, but he was never convicted and it never even WENT TO TRIAL. So you are willing to convict a guy in the court of public opinion based on heresay and conjecture by a witness that never even testified. Are you one of those people that actually believes everything he hears on the news?

A judge did find him guilty. For the appeal he reached a settlement with her to not testify. Good for her, at least she made some money out of the ordeal. After that the nfl investigated it and found credible evidence of at least 4 physical alterations he had with a woman, and pictures of the injuries were released

A man who was convicted of domestic abuse, and sanctioned by the nfl for finding credible evidence he used violence in at least 4 situations against the woman, and had pictures of the injuries he caused, was now going to make a living in a sport based around violence.

I dont remember many ppl ever saying that he should never make a living again, but that perhaps making a living by inflicting violence was a bit callous and not the greatest message to send. So, if that's white knighting... yea I'm cool with that.
Why is society okay with giving women a pass on domestic abuse when they lead all metrics by a long shot when it comes to it?

why does society subliminally encourage female violence? Like all these stupid moron cuck boomers who make stupid jokes like “oh better not say that around the wife” “Better be careful” “wouldn’t want to piss off the wife.” What kind of pleasure do white people get from this shit exactly? It’s not nearly as prominent in other cultures. What exactly is the point of painting women as some kind of hulk?

What’s up with ppl just wanting others to fail.

Is he a world beater? No not yet, maybe never will be.
Does he have the potential to be champ someday? Sure, if he keeps dedicating everything to MMA I don’t see why not, the guy is a specimen and there’s no denying that.

I think all things considered he has exceeded expectations so far and has shown he def has the potential to keep getting better.
I’m not a fan or hater, but I will tune in to see where his road ends up, more talent in MMA is never a bad thing.

Hardy is not going to be a champ. Hes actually been fighting longer than Gane and Gane is way better. Hardys stand up looked vastly improved but he literally has no idea how to grapple.

That's lame.
Redemption requires first that you acknowledge your wrongs. Hardy never did.
And redemption does not equate paying a guy who made millions in the NFL at least 500 000$ a year for fightings other bums who are literally paid 10 times less.

You may be the most beta person I've come across in this forum. Stay in your safe place in moms house.

I didn't see many people hyping him up here. I think hardy has actually exceeded most of our expectations.

Sorry my post upset you little Snowflake.

well obviously fighting in a cage would be a good Avenue.
If you only knew the history of some of the very best boxers you would wilt and not be able to watch a combat sport ever again.

He'll keep watching MMA from moms basement, in his make believe world that all these cage fighters come from wonderful backgrounds.

I'm fairly familiar with a lot of their histories and I try not to cheer for certain fighters/boxers or glorify them.

It's an inherently violent sport, and through out sports their is a long sad history of athletes with personal problems and bad pasts. I just don't think we should let fan loyalty allow us to turn a blind eye to these problems, or love for the sport to stop us from criticizing certain areas of the sport
