Elections DNC today in Chicago

So progressive regulations aren't a bad thing within reason to you, and you probably feel that we can use capital to pay for the poor?
I'm not sure which regulations you are referring to, but you could say I believe American tax revenue should be used to improve the lives of Americans.

Well, you said Medicare for all, affordable college and strong social safety net. All of these are paid for by taxes, but also by regulating the system to make it happen. Ie. Force change on a systemic level.

Disagree. Even though I have a strong preference for Democrats winning national elections over Republicans, I have lots of disagreements with Democrats, and I don't feel that whatever they say, I'm saying. It should go the other way too. People should be accountable for their own actions, and organizations are accountable for the actions of their leadership, but everyone who agrees with me about some things doesn't speak for me about everything.

Yeah, looks like the stories are reporting on some level of shitstorm. No one I read was involved in that, and I don't think any prominent politicians were.
I don't see as going this far either. It's the association because we're under the same general ideology that bugs me.

Look at the number of democrats who say the Trump assassination attempt was fake. In the big scheme, I assume it's a negligible number, but it has been trending quite a few times on Twitter. Is it a huge deal? No. Do I think it's bad look? Oh, yes.

I think it’s pointless to talk about supporting policies when you're not a politician and you're just totally tribalistic on all real-world discussions.

I think it's pointless to stick on deez nuts, but here we are.

It's a bad look for people saying it. I just don't think it's fair to blame other people for who didn't say it for it.

Not really interested in your usual unpleasantness, but I'm just saying that "I support X" doesn't work if all you do is lie about people who would actually implement X. In what sense do you support it, then? Has Holmes ever criticized Republicans for voting against the stuff he says he supports?

I'm just saying that all you do is argue, even with people on your own side. Just chill out every now and then lol

Also, usual unpleasantness got a chuckle out of me. Have a like.

I was just curious as to if you actually watched those videos because I think they do a good job of demonstrating their blind spots but I don't necessarily expect anyone to watch them.

Alternative media is IMO generally less reliable than mainstream outlets so I would not equate Breaking Points with NPR or other more reputable sources. Of course every media org is going to have some biases even if unconscious ones but I think alternative media and especially online populist leaning media has a problem with their fact checking standards.

Even when FOX News was blatantly lying about the 2020 election they had internal fact checkers, called the "brain room", flagging all the false claims despite pundits like Carlson ignoring their warnings. Idk if Breaking Points even has fact checkers.
that's what I thought. NPR is a propaganda network and I have less trust in them than I do breaking points or even Kyle kulinski. because NPR hides the lies much better and more skillfully... nearly never tells a direct lie, but steers people with the way that they frame things. there is nearly always an agenda with NPR.

at least with breaking points I know what the agenda is.

I will watch those but have no faith in your ability to spot lies if you trust NPR.
