Elections DNC today in Chicago

I had an epic rant prepared if George ("W"eapons of mass destruction, killed a million Iraqis) Bush had walked his ass out there.

You say she has no power, but Cheney did.

Regardless, she could have been advocating for what she "believed" in for 3.5 years. You are actually downplaying the vp's influence in policy.
The relationship between Joe Biden and Kamala Harris is completely different than the relationship between George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, both personally and politically.

Biden has his own team and his own advisors. Harris may have been in the room but she had no authority or leverage.

Cheney was the real political power in their tenure. Bush was a likeable dipshit figurehead.

Kamala's sister is a fox

Black, Indian, Other, she gets WOOD!

I don't think any reasonable person can really believe that Walz' "get off the couch" jab is somehow beyond the pale after 9 years of Trump's endlessly divisive campaigning.
Trump represents a uniquely important milestone towards the end of civility politics in this country.
I see it differently. When I say Walz is a POS, it's not because he is worse or as bad as Trump, or beyond the pale. I think he's a POS, a bad person, a negative influence on politics, but not Trump. The lesser evil, and Walz played the part.

I expect that the DNC can at the very least practice what they preach, which is a diversion from Trump. Instead we get the same low level junk he offers. Why? Who says new fresh blood in politics has.a need to continue down this path and work towards elevating things back to a point that used to exist, where our leaders were qualified and acted the part with dignity? This whole notion that all civility is out the door is asinine. It's lazy at its essence.

We move on from Trump by showing examples that his style does not work. That his political toxicity is just an anomaly, a bad influence at the wrong time in our history. Instead you are chopping off your noses to spite your own face. When I see these fresh new faces I expect that they both move out of Trumps shadow of influence and rescue what I believe is left of political decorum. We need positivity, unity. I understand the vitriol everyone has for Trump, I really do, but I don't share this same defeated mentality as we head out of the Trump era that you seem to have.

You literally just called Harris a Milford Man.

Not only were there prior VP's who used their position to advocate for policies. Especially if they believed in those policies. Harris clearly doesn't believe in anything. She could have tried to build public support but she instead focused on being seen but not heard. If she was in the room, she could have made her opinion made.

I don't believe she actually stood for anything.

You carry water for Ron “But what about the benefits of slavery, amirite” DeSantis.
You shill for right wing assholes that pass laws to silence and marginalize LGBTQ youth.
You cheerlead for extremist assholes that try and whitewash African American history, and then bury your head in the sand when the NAACP issues a travel warning for your state.

You wanna talk about unity, then start walking the walk.

I think she's a political opportunist, and we are only now learning how she really means to govern.

She seems to have a good team around her, and her VP pick was a very encouraging sign. No progressives actually believed she would pick a guy like Walz.

Careful. The crook is a good guy now because he dislikes Trump.
Nah, he's literally worse than Trump.

Trump might be entirely corrupt and a neofascist demagogue, but I don't consider him an outright war criminal.

I do think he has more destructive potential than Bush did, because at least Bush had smart people advising him. Shitty smart people, but not the incompetent nutjobs that have attached themselves to what remains of Trump.
