Biden is the incumbent President, so the party is not going to Primary him, unless he does something really stupid. I think they hoped he would also see he was too old.
It was like when we had to take the keys to his car for my 94 year old Pop Pop. He thought he could still drive, but kept bringing his car back home with dings, dents and the final straw, is some stranger and his wife, drove his car back home. Deep down, Biden thought he could do it, but his speeches and actions showed he could not, so he dropped out.
In a perfect world he should have said a year ago, hey I am going to chill out on the beach in Delaware and fall off my bike, and call it a career, but he did not.
I am actually glad he did it this way, so when Trump loses I can watch MAGA doggers whine about it for 4 years. 2020 excuses was COVID and 2024 will be but Biden.
