That is highly debatable, especially in 2024.

He didn't lose the debate because of his intelligence, and he certainly didn't lose because of anything Trump did. He lost because of his inability to speak confidently and his utter failure to challenge Trump's blatant lying. Trump had a terrible performance too, but his incompetence was overshadowed by Biden's. Harris is going to absolutely pants Trump in any debate, and his supporters will continue to pretend everything is fine.

Biden was not a popular leader and never had the kind of support Trump had, personally, I have despised Biden for a very long time. In his fifty years in politics he left his fingerprints on some pretty despicable legislation that most conservatives would love if they knew about it. That said, him winning the presidency was a necessary good thing. People support him because the Trump option would be catastrophic.

He did a surprisingly good job as president and most historian's lists have him at around 17 all-time best presidents.

Trump on the other hand ranks at around number one on most lists of all-time worst presidents, and calling Biden a cult personality when Trump is running again in complete insanity. You haven't made a case that can't be dismissed easily by pointing out Biden was supported because he was the Democrat choice.
