I think where we disagree, is in the idea that the public chooses to remain ignorant of this.
That is a carefully crafted facade by both parties and the media that they are of, and for the people. That they represent some kind of democratic process, and view the people as anything other then sheep to be led around by their nose.
This facade is disintegrating in front of many people's eyes, and the results of which is why I have taken to saying the RNC and DNC are singing their death song right now.
Really, the public doesn't have google? They can't look into political parties before they choose to vote down the R or D ticket? Anyone who votes should at some point investigate the underlying candidates and the affiliations that they are voting for.
It's willful ignorance.
The parties are going nowhere for a very basic reason. In 4 years, we do it again and most people are convinced that next time is their time to win. Just like sports. No one quits watching football just because their favorite team tanked for the year. They just buck up and hope next time is better.
