This fight is beautiful. Each time.
Let them fight 30 times.
You’d stop caring after 4 times.

Hopefully Benavidez has been eating good, filling out to 175 more, get more folks excited this time around so the fresh matchup we need finally can happen

Cokehead can keep busy with Yarde. The kings of the division need to decide the throne.

better yet, Beterbiev can get injured again and the more interesting fight can be made instead, that’s what I’m crossing my fingers for

He is so much more prone to injury now that he is older. His style definitely isnt one that ages well.

Ideally i would love for Biev to win the trilogy and retire on a high note. But if Bivol wins, the Benavidez fight is right there to be made

Beterbiev will always be a more dangerous fight than Benavidez. Bivol's stalling right now specifically because of that.

huh? Why is he stalling Benavidez when he could have fought him? He fought Beterbiev twice already so he is clearly not scared of him. I just don't think he can be bothered with the 3rd fight after he beat him already.

Beterbiev holds a win over him as well but you already know this. They're 1-1. Benavidez will have to wait and he's fine with doing that. He knows to concentrate on Yarde who is a young, athletic, natural light heavyweight. This isn't some old past it fighter (Gvozdyk) or an inexperienced former Super Middleweight (Morrell). I expect Yarde to give Benavidez a very tough fight until he runs out of gas.

Fighting yarde wont bring him that much in my opinion. He came short on getting the belt multiple times. Giving yarde his 4th loss isn't going to prove anything.

Yeah it won't but Yarde is going to be his first real test at light heavyweight for the reasons I listed previously. He's the #5 rated LHW in the world (per The Ring & TBRB's rankings). Yarde will gas or find a way to lose as usual but not before giving Benavidez a tough night out.

If Gvozdyk was old and past it at 37 what will Beterbiev be at 41? lol. Wonder what you will say when Bivol fights eifert next.

Beterbiev didn't spend years out of the ring. Gvozdyk hadn't beaten anyone notable in many years when he fought Benavidez. Name his last credible win.

Canelo, Bivol, and Beterbiev all dont want to fight Benavidez, weird
Huh? Benavidez already had a shot at Beterbiev years back and he declined. The WBC installed him as their top contender at LHW (mandatory). If Bivol wins the trilogy then he'll fight Benavidez next. Even Benavidez himself is confident it will happen. He's said as much.

David Benavidez: “I'm pretty confident [I’ll fight the winner]. To be honest, the only thing that I’m thinking about is that if Bivol wins, there would have to be a rubber match. Who am I to say that they can’t fight another fight? If [Bivol won], I wouldn’t fight until they get that done with and I would move into the fight after they have a trilogy.”

It seems that fight promoters are creating a paradox where every fight must be an immediate rematch of an existing immediate rematch, which will eventually cause the universe to implode in on itself.

Yeah, we all know the trilogy is happening, the quote is he’s okay with them finishing their business and then fighting the winner, not them finishing the trilogy and then fighting Eifert next, and what if Beter wins? He probably retires and that’s gonna be another boxing fail.

Who said anything about the winner having to fight Eifert next? That's between the WBC & IBF to figure out which mandatory is next in the rotation. The WBC already skipped the line by ordering Bivol to fight Benavidez when it was the IBF's turn. I doubt Beterbiev would retire if he wins. He probably has a few more fights left in him. The point is that Benavidez doesn't think that EITHER Bivol or Beterbiev are ducking him. That's because he understands the boxing business. Why would Bivol take $8 million for a Benavidez fight when he's making a guaranteed $10 million for the Beterbiev trilogy? The Benavidez fight isn't going anywhere.

Beter is injury prone and even asked Bivol how old he was gonna have to be before he got his fight. I think he wants to go out on the high note.

I think Bivols handlers recognize Benavidez presents some problems for Bivol and want to avoid the fight as long as possible. I think the trilogy is gonna end in a boring controversial decision and the winner is gonna go “this busines is finished” and fight Michael Eifert next followed by Callum Smith.

Even if the trilogy does end controversially at least it'll be completed and the winner can move on. They won't do a fourth consecutive fight. The odds of that happening would be highly unlikely. We've seen consecutive trilogies happen before though. Holyfield & John Ruiz had one and nobody asked for it. I don't think Bivol will have any issue fighting Benavidez if he beats Beterbiev to win the trilogy. Benavidez hasn't looked all that impressive at LHW. Not to mention that Eastern Europeans in general aren't known for ducking though Bivol did stall for a while before eventually fighting Beterbiev. It seems that he's still dragging out the trilogy to try and gain a competitive advantage here. The longer it takes to happen the better it is for Bivol.

If the IBF does look to force Eifert onto the winner of the trilogy then there's an easy solution: Undisputed/unification fights take precedence over mandatories (Eifert) and a match-up between the winner of the trilogy vs Benavidez would be for undisputed.
