Dj,Cruz,werdum,Jones,Gus,Ferguson and others has been in mma for 10 years.why didn’t they decline?

Dj,Cruz,werdum,oveeem,gus,Jones,Ferguson rumble,Eddie,JeremyStephens,Edgar,dc,joeB,Bisping,Jacare,mousasi,Nate diaz,masvidal and many others has been fighting in mma for around 10 years.why didn’t they decline? In fact most of them are in their prime right now.
The answer is simple.they continue to evolve unlike “others”.fighting/winning for over 10 years and in your early 30 should actually give you a advantage because you got way more experience and confidence.you don’t suddenly out of your prime when you loss to someone.thats not how it work,that’s now how your body work.

Agree with everything else. But losses can matter. You can take a physical or mental beating that stops your progress. Every fighter is different.

I know you're taking a shot at Fedor without explicitly stating it, but you do have a point.

Fedor was spectacular in his prime, but his work ethic dipped over time and he didn't make the necessary adjustments to compensate for his declined reflexes.

Cruz has missed several years from injuries and only has 24 fights. He probably is past his prime now.

Jones has been suspended for a few years out of that time and he only has 24 fights. Plus, he was on steroids, the fountain of youth.

Gus hardly fights and he usually loses to the top guys anyway. Only has 22 fights. Still young but taking a lot of damage.

Werdum has 31 fights and is getting old now. Still elite in a weak HW era

DJ has 31 fights and is only 31 years old.

Ferg has 26 fights but seems to be getting slower and getting tagged in some of his last few fights. If Khabib brutally mauls him, that may somewhat directly lead to his decline along with his age.

DJ, Cruz, and Jones started young when the sport had already evolved quite a bit. Jones also had his 'roids and some long time periods off due to his shenanigans. Jones also likely just trained smart (his trainers did after all throw Rashad under the bus for him much like they did with Diego when GSP came to them) and he knew how to use his best asset well in his length (compare that to Struve) which keeps him out of a lot of danger.
Cruz, well his skills never declined, but his body has been breaking down due to injuries (not a natural decline in ability), both hands have been broken multiple times, both knees destroyed- one multiple times, plantar fasciitis in both feet, and just broke his arm.
With Cruz and MM they also are in lighter impact divisions and relied a lot on movement (but didn't rely on explosiveness) and trained for it.

Honestly, only DJ and Jones and maybe Ferguson out of those listed seem to be at the top of their game. All of those other guys have either shown no noticeable growth or are obviously past it even if just a little.

Jones and DJ are goats, Fabio is in a weak division, Black guys are Gus's kryptonite, Ferg is beatable, and cruz's is a goat but his ankles have exploded too many times and it caught up with him.

A lot of those guys you listed don't even have that many fights yet they are all expected to decline in the next few years. A few are slightly past it already.
