Mostly it is just genetics, high protein feed, and keeping the lights on. Tyson's is eliminating antibiotics by the end of this year. Don't take by posts as defending the industry. There is lots they could do to improve conditions and quality but choose not to.

I hear that about Tyson, and Perdue. I think Boston Market and Wendys only sells antibiotic free chicken.
