"The uppercut landed; I was buzzed but as I was trying to gather my senses he full on shoved me and I fell over and hit my head on the canvas which is illegal," he told Sky Sports. "This isn't wrestling, this is boxing, but as usual, they let Fury do what he wants and get away with it.

"I should have been allowed extra time to recover and then carry on fighting. He pushed me and said to the referee, 'Don't to let the fight carry on'. The referee is not doing his job; how can someone... OK, I got caught with a good shot and I was hurt but I didn't go straight down.

"I was trying to get my senses and he fully two-handed pushed me and I fell over and hit my head. It was a terrible job from the referee. I should have had time to recover and have time to go back to my corner. Tyson Fury gets away with a lot of things; he said he wants to retire but i hope he doesn't retire because i want another go."

Fury insisted he will now retire, but Whyte plans to carry on. "I'm not one of those guys who wants to go out on a loss or a bad performance," he added. "I'm still young enough and I've got a lot left in me. I'm still getting better; I've fought the best in the world and I wasn't outclassed. I landed my fair share of leather and he landed his.

"If I had been beat up for four or five rounds and completely outclassed then it would have been time to call it a day but it's not a long road back because I showed the level I am. One fight and I'm back."

@don't quote me! You need to see this. Lol

Where are all the people who demonized Wilder for his excuses? Will they show their face in this thread?
This is the same level as the Wilder excuses. Maybe even worse because Wilder actually had a path to victory & success in the 1st fight. Whyte had NO success or chance to win. This is going to get fun.

Aaahh, come on Dillian. Yes, the shove was illegal, but Whyte can't complain considering his own dirty tactics. Also, I've watched the replay many times in slo mo and his head doesn't even seem to touch the canvas. I like the guy, but this is weak.

Whyte was working the body and having success for you to say there was no path to a win when a judge had it 3 rounds to 2 so you being biased as usual.

I dont get why he shoved him, should have just landed a 2nd shot to end it properly as he was about too and then turned it into the shove. Whyte has a point you cant push your opponent over that is illegal. Its not open for debate like gloves or costumes or water spiking.

I don't think it made a difference to the outcome as it was a big shot an even if if he made it the end of the round it would have been too much to recover from.

I sincerely doubt Whyte would have had any success with the body work he was haphazardly attempting. If Wilders body work didn't faze fury, White's 2 body punches a round wouldn't have mattered either.

You could see it was phasing fury though those were big heavy shots. It wasn't haphazard either

The shove wasn't illegal. Whytes body momentum was still moving into Fury after the uppercut landed. Tyson had no choice but to extend his arms out to stop Whyte from falling into him.

-You're as delusional as Whyte. Fury literally was feeling out the 1st round and was toying with him after. Made him stumble and wing shots to where he almost fell out the ring
-You just said in the other thread the official judgess scores don't matter to justify a factual outcome for a Wilder draw over 12 rounds. But now you are justifying 2 throw away rounds that had nothing to do with the official outcome. Hahahahaha. Classic biased child.

I think you may be right. That may be the actual rule. I also remember Tim Bradley saying it was not an illegal shove like most people would mistake it for.

No they didn't. You could see it frustrating Whyte that they weren't bothering Fury. So much so he turned to desperation cheap elbow shots, elbow rubbing, leading with his head, holding, & spamming haymakers that put him off balance out of position. Fury took his time remained calm and slept that fool. Easiest fight in a long long time for Fury.

Wlad used to do that a lot(shove after the punch). Whyte was done anyway.

they should have DQ'd Fury, given Whyte his purse and made him undisputed
