I thought Browne was definitely close to being out, but I think there is an argument for letting it go 3 more seconds.

I have little to no doubt that Cain would still have won in Round 2, but you just never know right!?

Jacare was pretty much concussed after Round 1 vs Romero, still managed to put up a solid fight though.

Was he completely out, anyone see him after it was stopped, did he stay down for a while?

Thoughts?

I am of the thought unless the guy is out cold you don't stop a fight in the last 10 seconds. Jmo.

No. He was out. Doesn't matter how much time is left

He wasn't moving or even trying to intelligently defend himself. He could have survived onto the second round, but mentally he was done.

He didn't want to fight, that's why they did stop it. He did nothing to get out there. Just did accept that Cain is better and there is nothing that he can do.

Tbh everyone at my house was confused.

Yea he was pretty much done but its odd they stopped it in the last 10 secs when things like rockhold weidman are going on.

Yes but it wouldn't have made a difference. I don't think Travis was at the press conference either so he was hurt and the ref sensed that

No. The amount of time left in a round shouldn't be a consideration. If it would be a legit stoppage at any point, it's a legit stoppage with 3 seconds left.

He stayed down even after the fight was called.

He was done fighting.

3 more seconds to what?

Sit down and come back still F'd up and lose eventually anyway?

Don't make it seem like he was robbed of a potential win

They should have let him continue.
I wanted Cain to beat that ass some more.

Travis really rubbed me the wrong way with the way he won vs mittrione.

Overeem fight should have been stopped when he was yelping in pain from the uberknee

I think Travis deserved to be beaten soundly by the best HW in the game.

Especially when an opportunity like that presents itself and he chooses to continue training at p4p the worst camp in MMA.

No, he was done. You don't get a new round just because you died so close to the end of the old one. Fighters counting on the bell but NOT defending themselves should be led out to pasture.

Or at least lose the fight.

What was going to be different in the next round that he wouldn't get annihilated? Why make him go through all that extra punishment?

How many times have people came back from the brink?

3 seconds? Fuck yeah he deserved it...DID YOU SEE THE FUCKING OVEREEM FIGHT?
