did this guy had the biggest fall from grace?

I'd say Wanderlei Silva. Was an MMA legend and an icon only to get caught in a humiliating incident/news about running away from drug testing, and at that time getting banned from competing in MMA forever. Can you imagine the sport that you helped build then they took it away from you and consider you a disgrace while other fighters lose respect and make mock you? Yep eventually he got to return to fighting, but at that time, that was the biggest fall from grace. Losses in MMA is part of the game like in every other sport, but getting your name involved as being a 'cheater' or 'PEDs user' tarnishes your legacy more.

dude is on a 14 round losing streak
Barao and Ronda say hello.

But seriously, Woodley had a style that was bound to get (re) exposed.
Even though Woodley is/ was decent at everything, his game was somewhat limited.
Relied heavily on 1-2 shots Max in his striking and his wrestling.
Not a well rounded striker or grappler, mainly got by on speed and decent timing.

Attributes only get you so far.

Not even close. Woodley lost to elite guys and was only finished in one of those losses. Renan Barao and Johny Hendricks had the biggest fall from grace, since they quickly went from the top to losing to unranked cans.

Going tap tap cause of strikes is worst imo. Can't hear the "My rib, My rib" through a gif.

What's funny is that tap tap moment actually propelled him up to being the consensus P4P GOAT and totally not an example of a fighter falling from grace. Looks like you don't even understand TS' point of his thread. Are you actually trying to join the discussion or just making the most of your dubs? Relax, it's not gonna last for more than 1 month. Everything will be alright again.

I am going to go with BJ Penn: went form champ to 1 - 9, losing 7 in a row, not counting the ass kicking he took in a parking lot.

Several UFC champs went out on a horrible skid.
Chuck went from champ to losing 4 in a row and 6 of 7.
Barao went from Champ to 1 - 8, losing 5 in a row.
Guy behind him really fucked up not stopping him from smacking his head.

When he was on JRE, he said he doesn’t train outside of fight camps. That can’t be a good thing in a fight career. I’ve heard Bernard Hopkins say he used to train 6 days a week even when he didn’t have a fight scheduled, because the older you get, the harder is it to turn it on after you’ve been off.

Ronda went from international, seven figure fight superstar to hiding from cameras and joining WWE within 2 fights. So I would say hers is without question the steepest

Barao was getting outstruck by Wineland. His rank was largely based on the 2 Faber fights. He was unproven as champion.

Fedor went from top p4p to unranked in 3 fights. And he did lose the last to a MW.

Fedor without question. Guy was like King of King among MMA and his downfall to guys like Mitrione, Bigfoot, MW Henderson and Maldonado (that was a L). And now Bader. Its painful

Anderson was like 40. His decline was totally normal. Dudes been fighting for the check for the last 5 years anyway.

The answer is Barao. Dude was P4P #1 and fell off a cliff before he turned 30.

Barao was never the p4p #1

Barao was never the p4p #1

This was pre UFC rankings but a lot of people considered him the best lighter weight fighter in the world.

Either way to go from that to losing like 8 out of your last 10 fights in what theoretically should be your prime is crazy.

Renan Barao had the biggest fall from grace imo He went from being one of the best to getting cut by the ufc
Or Hendricks. On the stool after rd3 at UFC 181 he legit hit a wall. Became boring, losing streak, missed weight at two weight classes, lost a BKFC fight to a guy who lost on TUF.
