Did Poatan break Izzy's chin?

He hasn't looked the same since that first fight(mma) with Alex. Even in the rematch he looked off and was slowly getting broken down before Pereira got over zealous and got caught.

I dont think that explains it. Fighting Poatan is hard, even if your at your best.

I know he got hurt by gastelum but for the most part, Izzy had a pretty good chin and didn't take too much damage during his title run.. until Alex koed him.
Since then, he's been hurt by everyone, Strickland, DDP and Imamov. I can see DDP as he hits hard but Strickland and Imamov aren't known as hard hitters but Izzy was hurt by both.
I was rewatching the first MMA fight against Alex and the finishing sequence was nasty AF. The leg kick that Alex blocked and causes Izzy to stumble looked brutal.
Massive kudos to Izzy for winning the rematch and surviving and finding the counter.

He got koed as a kickboxer too

Izzy is matching up with guys who are so much more hungry than he is.
Pereira wanted to be champ badly
Strickland knew he'd never get a shot again if he lost
DDP had that weird king of Africa thing
Imavov also knew he would be demoted to gatekeeper of he lost.

Meanwhile Izzy's legacy is sealed and he probably doesn't feel the need to prove as much
