Did Kos try to pull a Kos? *GIFS*

Regardless of what Joe Rogan said, just because he said it doesn't add credibility that it did or did not happen, arguments like this are like a child repeating something back to you in a silly voice and expecting it to discredit what you are saying, fucking asinine.

If you watch the tape there is plenty of evidence to support Kos not being out of it yet, which is why you typically look for a few more unanswered shots before calling it.

Brock Lesnar took far more shots against Carwin and came back to finish the fight.

You wana say the stoppage was justified, fine, there is a good amount discrepancy to support that, but don't try and act like its dumb to think it couldn't have been a poor stoppage, that is just plain stupid.

Edit - For the record, I celebrate at ever Kos loss, I dislike him as a fighter and as his persona.

First of all let me say, I respect your dislike for Koscheck. Secondly it is dumb to think it was a poor stoppage. His head was being bounced like a basketball by huge shots, he was in a submissive fetal position, he wasnt reacting to the punches, and his eyes were directed towards herb deans feet. He was done plain and simple. The fact is, it was an excellent stoppage, Dean got in there quickly and saved him from taking any more massive shots which were definitely coming. The only reason i can imagine that people would be saying it was a poor stoppage is because they are parroting rogan.

Legit stoppage. He was not even trying to defend himself.

That knee really rocked him.

herb saved kos' career maybe...

he knows kos had a broken orbital and if it gets smashed again he could be out for good or lose his vision. that injury doesn't just heal and go away, its always lurking around.

i know, too much common sense, but herb did the right thing

, how many unanswered strikes before it should get stopped?

As many as it takes to put him out. He was still concious (sp?). He wasn't defending very well because he was hurt, but he was not finished. Whatever you guys wanna believe, you can not say Koscheck was out and as a result we were denied a chance to see if Lawler could finish the job cleanly, just like 3 years ago when Thiago rocked Kos and then had the fight prematurely stopped. Of course, the real victim here in these instances is Koscheck who dedicated a significant portion of his life towards preparing himself to fight and win only to be denied the oppurtunity to fight through tough times due to overzealous reffing.

IMO, an immediate rematch should be a priority for the UFC (I know it won't) and I expect Koscheck will put on the grappling clinic we know he's capable of. Although Lawler's seen some success against wrestlers with mediocre sub games...

I find it odd herb lets grice/dennis get into the deep
and let them work it out
but with kos he was pretty quick to stop it

not to say it wasnt right but I think maybe 3-5 more seconds and
there be no doubt.
everyone saying kos career was saved due to this is a bit slighted by the fact
just stepping in there he already knows his health is at risk.

Im more bitter by the fact I had kos by dec
to parlay my ronda/machida/faber picks lost a bit of cash due to this

Dean is not responsible for a fighter's recovery time in that situation. He's was knocked senseless and snapped back into consciousness.

Either that or he was really confused about how Metro PCS can offer 4G for all. Why else would he be staring at the advertisements on the mat blankly instead of watching the guy raining bombs on his head?

The fact Kos was looking at Lawler the whole time and how he kept trying to kick him off the whole time was pretty good evidence he was fine.

Looking at him the whole time? LMFAO, these are some amazing shops then:

The fact is that Kos' eyes went glassy, so the ref stopped it--it doesn't matter how quickly he recovers after the fact.

Pretty sure he didn't know what happened that would make Herb Dean stop the fight. That was a premature stoppage. Kos was still intelligently defending himself. To say Lawler "wouldnt've have let him get back up" is stupid. Early stoppage. Kos didn't even get Henderson/Fedor'd, he wasn't out at all

I didnt know rolling your eyes to the back of your head was called defending yourself, but sure...

It was a good stoppage. That's how UFC refs ref fights. I'm fine with it. Pride refs waited till the the losing fighter was practically dead. Rampage v Randleman and Randleman v Cro Cop come to mind. Insanely late stoppages, and while fun to watch, really dangerous and unnecessary.

Having your hands at your knees and repeatedly being hit in the head is defending yourself? Is this the first MMA event you ever saw?

Srsly?

"I'm being beaten about the face and head repeatedly! What should I do? My hands? Bring them up? Great idea!"

Kos was taking a stroll down queer street is what he was doing.

You know that part of my post you deleted? Feel free to read that if you'd like.
