I still don't see him go limp. He definitely eats some unanswered shots, no doubt. I'm not saying it wasn't a just stoppage just that the dude wasn't KTFO'd.

If someone has another view I'd like to see it.

EDIT: I think it's pretty ironic I'm wasting my time making the argument when I was rooting for Lawler and was thrilled when he won.

In fact, fuck it. Kos was KTFO'd. Nvm.

Yeah, intelligently defending himself apparently means staring blankly into the heavens and letting his head bounce off the mat.

This one is the best angle.

Edit: it doesn't seem to be working any more. But that's the angle you want, so you can see Kos' face after he gets hit with the left.

Early stoppage, he was clearly defending those punches by blocking with his head, that way his arms or hands didn't get damaged. He didn't react because he was waiting for the standup since he was in a neutral position with nothing meaningful happening. The fetal is the new guard.

Fred Ettish used the fetal guard to great effect against Jonny Rhodes.

I was watching this fight with the sound off and I am no fan of Koscheck's, but i was VERY surprised the fight was stopped when it was.

Regardless of what Joe Rogan said, just because he said it doesn't add credibility that it did or did not happen, arguments like this are like a child repeating something back to you in a silly voice and expecting it to discredit what you are saying, fucking asinine.

If you watch the tape there is plenty of evidence to support Kos not being out of it yet, which is why you typically look for a few more unanswered shots before calling it.

Brock Lesnar took far more shots against Carwin and came back to finish the fight.

You wana say the stoppage was justified, fine, there is a good amount discrepancy to support that, but don't try and act like its dumb to think it couldn't have been a poor stoppage, that is just plain stupid.

Edit - For the record, I celebrate at ever Kos loss, I dislike him as a fighter and as his persona.

theres two retarded things going on here

1. two seconds before the knee everyones talking about kos gets smashed with a knee to the body that is very loud and audible. the camera angle was terrible (1:27 on the clock) rogan says something like "that was a devastating knee to the body". kos begins to crumple and then the knee everyone is talking about didnt do shit. kos is trying to rest and recover from the knee to the body and tagged with a big left that stunned him (deer in headlights like a rocked reem). its actually the same reaction cowboy had to pettis shot to the liver. crumple and eat shots while paralyzed on all fours

2. kos was not finished but there was nothing wrong with the stoppage. kos reaction to getting smoked was terrible and he was out of it and getting tagged. if lawler stopped hitting kos for a few seconds he could have recovered but as it was lawler was raining down bombs and kos was not protecting himself. ref saved kos from taking some huge bombs.

could it have gone longer? yes

would lawler have finished him with one or 2 more punches? yes

would kos have been able to avoid those 1 or 2 more shots if the ref didnt jump in? highly unlikely but possible
