I don't think he "just wanted out". But I also don't believe there was an eye poke, just a savage uppercut that landed right in the eye socket which fucked his eye up and blinded him. He shouldn't be continuing a fight if he's blind from a legal strike imo was a tko win for bader, but the ref got gamed into a NC.
 
The most likely thing in my mind, just opinion, is that last short clipping uppercut is what fucked up his eye.

Even on replay, TKO for Bader, or verbal sub from Kongo would be what I would suggest.
 
There was NO Eye poke unless your talking abut the huge uppercut that landed on Kongo's eye! He found a way out and took it! End of story!

How do you know the uppercut landed on the eye that Kongo was complaining about? Look at the video below and focus on Bader's left hand in the first couple of seconds, it looks like he raked Kongo's eye with it.

 
the shot is from the ceiling down...no way you can see where the fingers are! Pause it from the straight in angle like Bader did in the press conference! Absolutely no eye poke! He Faked it to get out of the fight...….Add in the ass kicking and the acting and you have all the proof you need.....Kongo wanted out!

Why? Because there are so many other deserving heavyweights in Bellator right now? Or could it be a fighter you just don't like? The guy got eye poked and the referee caught it and stopped the fight. The fight didn't stop on it's own, the referee stopped it. Kongo deserves a rematch, the same way Sergei Kharitonov deserved a rematch versus Mitrione after getting kicked in the testicles. A foul by the Champion, whether you feel it was a foul or not, is not a honorable title defense.
