Did Joe Rogan Just Make Up the Rules?

Any attack to the groin area

Any reason you omitted the most crucial aspect of that sentence?

I'm not here to argue for the sake of it about a rule that literally says 'Any attack to the groin area'.

Posting half a rule is a really bad look. I won't be debating with you on this further, as you're not serious.
They're just like Rogan disregard reality for what they want so bad to be true.

Funny enough on the cj fight Joe is the trying to call a punch an unclear eyepoke.

I sometimes feel like I'm being an asshole, but I try to save that for the War Room - I'm being fair here, right?

Jake Matthews landed a teep-type kick with the toes planted into the belly, but also caught the cup with his heel.

Because the cup was hit after the belly, Rogan decided it was perfectly legal and screamed about it for the rest of the fight, and even brought it up in the interview lol

Jake Matthews said "well the ref said it hit low, so that was that".
Just watched it on my DVR. Looked legal to me. I won't say Flowers was "Acting" but that wasn't a nut shot.

The toes landed legal but the heel clipped the cup on the follow through.

I think it was a dive but I would’ve taken it to buy some recovery time.

Incidentally, faking being hurt actually is against the unified rules. Never seen a point taken for it.

just like I can’t recall the last point deduction for a cage grab.
Wait, huh? Faking being hurt is against the rules? Ive never seen that. Doesn't seem true

Big fights are not the same without Joe. I love Joe Rogan no matter what y’all say

He's the UFC's mascot. Can't really get rid of him at this point.

Rogan will stay until he walks away on his own. He is grandfathered in. Can't stand him but you better deal with it

He has been killing his brain one cell at a time with those drugs. He is wasted in his studio like Mike Tyson.

I've heard some fighters say it can be hard to tell the difference in the moment. Looked legal to me too but Flowers may have genuinely thought he took it all on the cup.

I thought the same.

Just because his toes his his stomach first then the heel hit the cup doesn't magically make it not a low blow.

If the heel is hitting him low then it's a low blow. Simple.

11. Groin attacks of any kind: Any attack to the groin area including, striking, grabbing, pinching or twisting is illegal. It should be clear that groin attacks are the same for men and women.

Is there a rule I'm missing, because this does not say anything whatsoever about 'body first', it just says 'any attack to the groin'. Nothing about sequence, nothing about initial impact, so where has Rogan got this from?

Looking for clarification on whether there's something missing here that appears elsewhere?
Unified Rules established in 2017 says the same exact thing. "Groin attacks of any kind."
