International Did COVID come from a Lab in China? US Energy Dept asserts it was a lab leak [megathread]

Well I mean Fauci and his buddy are friends with these people, and they dislike the population that still wants accountability.. And they’ve all probably enjoyed 14 year old Chinese prostitutes, so why risk any of that, and friends first, right?



We are being lied to constantly. It came straight from that lab, of fkn course, and we were funding that exact research for wtevr reason.. I don’t need to be lied to.

If China deliberately engineered and produced the virus, I'm not sure why their vaccination program wasn't both accelerated and engineered towards suppression within their own population? As in they would be way ahead of the game.

Not in the way that rightwing CTers would have you belive; that China created the virus and released it on the populace.

That's the camp I'm in. If it came from a lab, that's how it happened.

The point is its a question of belief. There is a lot of evidence that points to lab escape. Whether that was an accident or deliberate is an open question because China has shut down any attempt at fact gathering.

Yeah. Not that I know or we know for sure. I’d say this is the most likely. As releasing it to stomp out Hong Kong have happened but if it did, someone would have messed up and some evidence would have come out by now

No they just suppressed any info on it so the rest of the world could prepare, just like russia did with chernobyl. It's effectively the same thing. Also extorted the world about releasing this info way back when trump first said it by saying if we talked about it they'd refuse us ppe. A lot of people say it goes away in want weather, well that was china too. That's who a lot of people was. So now for the fun part is believing china racist or is calling them out as liars racist? Depends 9n the week and who says it?

True. China has scrubbed the evidence and made it hard to understand what actually happened. I do think an accidental release makes sense as the evidence we do have points to that

Yeah, they did what authoritarian regimes do; try to handle it quietly on the down low, then acknowledge the problem publicly when keeping it under wraps is no longer feasable.

Why? For it to leak out of a lab it had to be collected from the wild to be brought to that lab, unless you are also alleging heavy bioengineering.
