Did Conor show his hand by not fighting at UFC 200?

UFC 200 only became huge, because Lesnar was added. All the other fights are ok, but not on the level that Lesnar's fight is. Lesnar adds a shitload of buys to UFC 200. I firmly believe that, if McGoat was on UFC 200, Lesnar would not been added. Lesnar was added as PLAN B, in my opinion, all because Mcgoat was not on the card...
Yeah, that's not some weird opinion. but it turned out better for the UFC, cause Lesnar will sell them more tickets than McGregor/Diaz II, and that's not even the main event.

TS is a dumbass
That's it? Nothing to offer, and no proof of anything in any direction on the topic, just your 500 posts in your account that started right before Conor/Mendes? Awesome, thanks for existing.

He basically choked himself out with his stupid refusal to promote. UFC put him in his place. He's on his 14th minute of fame. After Diaz II, it's all downhill from there.

Best card you've ever seen ? It's a good card but lets not get carried away. Not to mention there will surely be a few pull-outs.

You Conor haters don't realize yet that although Zuffa is irreplaceable, Conor isn't.

I am full of crap, but it sounds like something a Conor fan would say.:D

Conor showed his hand, but Lorenzo showed him the FINGER!

Yeah... I had a little chuckle at Conor's expense when they announced Brock was going to be on 200. He must have felt like such an idiot for that little bluff of his.

Name a better one? It is the best if injuries leave it alone.

But how does the PPV point system works? Because it's not like each fighters brings his own number. Like if Conor puts 1 million PPV and Brock does too, it's not like that combined they would bring 2 million.

In this kind of cases, does Dana dilutes some of their PPV percentage?

I don't think so. And to prove it, this a Conor McGregor thread on sherdog with very little response. A single quote from Conor in November would get like 10 pages in 20 minutes.
It was getting little response because we've already talked about this shit to death here. You came back with a very unoriginal and baseless argument about Conor pulling out of the fight simply because "he's a diva". You haters can keep saying this over and over, but it doesn't change the facts. The guy fucking said EXACTLY why he didn't want to promote (on the schedule the UFC had for him) and it had nothing to do with being a pampered princess~~if anything, it was the opposite because he just wanted to be out of the spotlight so that he can train. Criticize the guy all you want, but at least do it with actual facts.

It will be interesting to see how 200 does vs 202 though. 200 is too stacked to not beat out 202, but I can't see it completely blowing a Conor card out of the water. Either way, 202 will look good since it's coming right after a lackluster (comparatively speaking) 201 card.

Lets be real UFC 200 is going to do great numbers, casuals will see the 200 with lesnar and everyone and be like OMG, hardcores will be like, good card. 202 we will have to see but I dont see it being even on the same playing field imo. I could be totally wrong though, but I think Conors loss hurt him more with the casuals then people think, I do still think 202 will do good numbers however.

The fact is a "200" event will draw hype by itself.

You don't get in the ring with Ali cause you think you can box. McGregor is a good fighter who THINKS he's also a good businessman. You don't go up against the like of the Fertitta brothers and win. They're real gangsters, Conor just plays one on tv.

Look, it will be difficult to beat a cornerstone event in ufc 200, its fight week and there are loads of good fights on a very stacked card. The advertising and promo will kick into very high gear now. Add to that having Brock there to pull in the wwe and some casuals (don't think he has the same pull as he used to by a long shot but i guess we will see), Most mma fans will tune in to watch it. 202 has McGregor vs Diaz and maybe CM Punk..... so what we are doing is putting McGregor's pulling power up against basically the combined pull of most of the very top fighters in the UFC and Brock.

All this aside, yes McGregor will lose a ton of money but he now gets the time he needs away from the spotlight to focus on his training. Which is exactly what he needs to do for the Diaz fight and on after.
