Did CM Punk's UFC run make Brock's look better?

Brock had a fantastic run. Only haters will say otherwise.

How many fights did it take to win a world title?
Add pro and amateur?

You would have to be filled with pure disdain to say Brock didn’t have a good run. Or is bad at fighting.

I’ve watched mma from its inception. Nobody has ever accomplished what Brock did so quickly.

Not in mma not in boxing.

Sure
Lomachenko won a title early on in the pros but he had 300+ fights in the ammys and won gold 3 times at the Olympics

Brock fought the best guys
From his 2nd or 3rd fight on.

He made his ufc debut against heath herring, had probably 30-40 fights and everyone laughed at lesnar.
To my surprise he went through herring.

I didn’t initially
Like Brock when he came to the mma scene. But I wanted to see him fight. And he made
Me a fan of his

I don't actually think it's comparable. Pretty sure Brock's run would've been near-identical had CW Punk not competed in the UFC tho.

How 'bout some freshly fried chicken?

Francis is 3-1 with 3 KO's against wrestlers. Stipe's boxing opened up the TDs. Blaydes is a better wrestler than Stipe.
Blades is no where near miocic ... Francis is a one trick pony like Anthony Johnson was .. Cormier and miocic would embarrass ngannou 10 /10 times ..

Blaydes is absolutely comparable to Miocic at wrestling.

Johnson has a wrestlefuck win over a ufc title challenger and managed to TD Cormier while gassed. JUXI national champ. Completely illogical to call him a one trick pony.

Blaydes is absolutely comparable to; if not better than Miocic at wrestling. Not sure what you've been watching. He has the exact same creds as Bones, as does Rumble.

Rumble took down DC while gassed and wrestlefucked a former title challenger. Completely illogical to call him a one trick pony.

Nobody but WWE fans who know nothing about fighting thought CM Punk was going to do any better than he did. Everyone knew Brock could do well because of his athletic ability and his wrestling background (real wrestling)

Punk is an arrogant, entitled asshole. He was in wrasslin' and he was the same in MMA. Brock was way better than him in both WWE and UFC

All Punk ever really had was solid mic skills and a cool gimmick (edgy subculture rebel). He did have several good matches, but Lesnar had better matches against Kurt Angle, Undertaker, Benoit, and John Cena. I don't care how many 5 star matches the nerds in wrestling magazines and websites gave Punk, physicality matters. Lesnar is the better sports entertainer and obviously the better fighter

Punk has a lot of talent, but he is not athletic, and contrary to what some people would have you believe, athleticism is the most important attribute in any sport. Not hard work, but genetics and pure chance. It might not sound fair but that is the truth

Thinking about how they both wrestlers.

No fan of Brock - he was in the right place at the right time. Fighting big names in the HWs who's let's face it - a division of big name old guys who are worn and torn.

So Brock had a surprisingly good run - and got gifted that title shot ... against a 44 year old

Cut to CM Punk - also from wrestling - fights some guys ... and loses

Does this add credence to Brock's repertoire?

CM Punk showed us it's hard for Wrestlers to convert - but Brock kinda made it happn Captn'

brock won the title and came into the at the right time.

Brock had a chance cause he's huge and actually had some wrestling. Cm was there for a check, nothing more.
