Did cain really changed jds or...

Neither werdun nor mir was in their primes, i can even take mir at this but werdun was cut from the ufc after he lost to jds. That was not prime werdun at all and as i said he won many of those fights

Werdum wasn't cut. Everyone that leaves the ufc isn't cut

that makes no sense in response to what I said. I said he didn't quit and kept trying to win even when Cain was beating the hell out of him and he beat Stipe in a tough fight.
And it took a huge toll on him, didn’t it? When a Brazilian heart breaks, it doesn’t mend

Bro, I think prime JDS walks through the current division, minus Ngannou and Stipe - both of which I'd favor JDS over, and Cain for that matter.

I think prime JDS vs Ngannou would have been amazing.

I think Prime JDS destroyed Ngannou, there is a big level difference !
I favored Stipe against Prime JDS but very close fight ( Late TKO or close decision for Stipe )

Absolute joke of a thread. Every single fighter's record looks weak when you look at it 10 years later when their competition is now out of their prime. Prime JDS is easily still a top 3-5 HW and LOL @ thinking otherwise and for thinking the HW division has significantly evolved

Trying to undersell JDS' resume by pointing to Mir, Roy, and Gonzaga, but conveniently leaves out KOs over Cain and Werdum and domination over Carwin. Sounds legit.

Not only did the Cain beatings diminish the rest of JDS' career, they probably took a few years off his life. As Teddy Atlas says, in brutal fights like those, the fighter leaves a part of themselves in the ring (or cage).

Yep you're bang on! MMA revisionism @ it's best! Trying to discredit how average truly fantastic fighters were! But to keep it real... I do believe USADA played a part in it...because it hindered any possibility for recovery from these beatings... IF HE TOOK SOME HELPERS! Many people believes athletes take PED for their performances... when in reality it's primarily to recover better from those performances & Training! If USADA was in the NFL... I guarantee you every quarter at least 1 O-Man FROM EACH TEAM would be going down... then America would be bewildered with what's going on!

hard sparring and training
brutal wars in the cage
body that was unable to keep up (like dominik cruz)

the guy looks like he's 55+ and hasn't even reached 40 yet.

People forget JDS/Stipe 1 was a brutal fight.

That shows the clear decline of his chin. He went from going to war with prime Stipe and taking his best shots to now being knocked out every time he takes a hard shot.

Cain's two wins over JDS were the best wins on anyone's HW record. JDS was a legit top HW, and he got destroyed for 5 rounds. It wasn't competitive, it wasn't a KO out of nowhere. It was pure brutality. Pure domination. You see Stipe's wins over DC? DC still stole a few rounds. It was still competitive. You see Jon's last win over DC? It was competitive, then Jon landed a good kick. You see Fedor's win against Cro Cop? This was just one guy abusing the other for 5 rounds. And he did it twice. When you do it twice, in the same fashion, that's a statement. You can criticize Cain for his injuries and inactivity, but there's no doubt that the guy who destroyed JDS was a monster and easily one of the best HW's if not the best HW ever.

Dude I love Brazilian women. Also, I am a Platinum Member. I cannot be banned. I am above your little schemes

Was just joking dude, I defend freedom of speech, the right to an opinion, whoever it might hurt.

Being serious, u're a bit right, we don't deal with defeats well. Even Adilson Rodriguez, brazilian fighter who lost to holyfield, said about all the young new fighters in Brazil, that they would lose one fight a just give up the sport.

I don’t have anything against your country. It just seems like the fighters are the best until they aren’t.

I think those fights changed them both. They slowed JDS down a lot and pretty much ended Cains career.
